While staying in a remote cabin in the forest definitely appeals to me, I am certainly not a fan of the "Garden Shed" look of these cabins in the mock-up. They got the aesthetic all wrong, in my opinion.
(I wish they had hot tubs or plunge pools, though!)

There’s been an interesting recent development, in that a permit was filed for the old Reflections site with an attached list of cabin numbers.
It looks like the Reflections site is being used as a staging area for the new cabins.
Details are over on WDWMagic on the Reflections thread there.

I keep hoping that the Ft Wilderness Cabins DVC conversion will be canceled.....ala Eagle Pines. But for that to happen, we would need a tragic event to happen.

Couldn’t see much, but a portion of the fencing was open and there was movement with work trucks coming and going.

Was supposed to be a DVC resort where the Four Seasons and Golden Oak are now. dvcinfo.com/four-dvc-resorts-that-might-have-been/

I was so upset with how bad the new Trails End quick service breakfast was, all logic left my head!

I have never eaten there, but I did read about the food "down grade" there. I get it.....I get all worked up too when Disney messes up my favorite dining choices.
Figaro fries anyone? I never gotten over when Disney screw over the Flame Tree menu.

And when we bought in January, 2002, the resort to be built was a major selling point for DH, a golf-lover.

No, we'd bought OKW since SSR wasn't even available yet, and since he can sit on the balcony and watch the golfers, or when he golfs, he can wave at me sitting on the balcony (and jump over the balcony to go in and make a quick potty stop) makes him happy where we are.

I am not a golfer. I have only played *cough* *cough* twice in my life. But I love the look and feel of staying on a golf course. Our first timeshare (and second) was on at a golf course. Our last se was on a golf course. When I was in my 20's and 30's I was out playing baseball and softball, instead of learning to golf. Then I started working for myself and spent all my time working. I finally stopped playing ball in my late 30's but work was eating up all my spare time. I have no regrets not golfing, because I hear/see how frustrating and costly playing can be.
