So, does anyone think this changes the option of Poly2 becoming the same association? I would have thought they would have announced something similar with Poly2 unless I just missed it.

More details and artist renderings are now up on the DVC website, and some people may have got emails about it. “ Find tranquility in your private one-bedroom cabin, complete with many comforts of home. Set amid the beauty of the great outdoors, each cabin sleeps up to 6, and some can even accommodate dogs. All offer a restful retreat with charming touches and many conveniences. Through the sconce-flanked front doors is a spacious living area featuring a dining nook and a fully equipped kitchen—including a refrigerator, dishwasher, convection/microwave oven and 2 countertop burners. Off the kitchen you’ll find a vanity area outside the entrance to the bathroom, which has a shower and an additional vanity inside. A convertible seating and sleeping area is located opposite the kitchen and boasts a 65-inch TV and a comfortable sofa—the perfect spot to gather your family to watch a favorite Disney movie. At bedtime, simply fold down the queen-size Inova bed from the wall, for added sleeping space. In the separate bedroom, you’ll find a queen-size bed, twin-size bunk beds, a 55-inch TV, a closet and a nightstand. Each morning you can draw the curtains back to reveal floor-to-ceiling windows and your own personal patio deck, where you can bask in the glories of nature while firing up the charcoal grill and dining al fresco. With everything available to you, The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort provides a fresh, elevated take on the cabin experience—and decades of magical vacations to come.” disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/dvc-cabins-at-fort-wilderness?CMP=EMC-1904864538%7C381750842&cid=PDM821575&bid=1248418464

Yes, I got an email. At the end it shows: “Membership requires purchasing a deeded ownership interest at The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort that expires January 31, 2075, which is typically priced at $22,700 to $60,100 (subject to change).” So, $22,700 divided by 160 = $141.88 a point? Or am I thinking the minimum should be 100 points instead of 160. $227 a point seems so high for a campground if that’s the case. We will see.

Minimum buy-in was reduced to 100 points for VGF2. That is why the lower amount has been revised.
You still need 150 to qualify for membership extras though.

Btw still a HUGE hard pass. Once we stay RR in March I'm done trying new. These look really like the worst parts of a studio meshed with a 1 bedroom to me. Long walk to the bathrooms.

I'm sorry, nothing against trailer parks or those that choose to live in them, but I prefer not to emulate that feeling while on vacation.

One bedroom with a queen bed....
I wonder if its a tub/shower or walk-in shower? Or will there be separate categories? More than likely, they are all tub/shower combos.
I am hating the DVC trailers more and more.
I have seen nothing on the "enhanced pool" for the Campground.

Waiting on Poly for last one I’ll try. Well that one technically isn't a new association, just new room types This also makes it so if Reflections abomination ever comes to pass I can say nope too. As for every single other comment so far I 100% agree. It's one thing for us not to do a resort due to location off Disney theme parks, it's another to avoid this hot mess of an offering.

I’ve never stayed at the Poly at all and with the directional challenged hubby we are waiting. The points are so high compared to my value studios at Jambo!

It seems to me that they’re going after the same market as the current cabins. Which on the face of it is fine …. except are those people going to fork out for a 50 year ownership?
For those who are used to the traditional 1-bed villas, these have a partial kitchen, no master bedroom, one bathroom for 6 people, no washer dryer.
They will have a private patio. And will be good for larger families.
They may well be a popular choice for renters who have stayed in the current cabins or like the idea of these. But I guess there is going to be a lot of 7 month availability and that it will take a long time to sell. It could be the next Aulani in that regard. And of the cash price through Disney is higher than the current cash price then they won’t get the current fans booking either.

This sounds completely unappealing both from a location and amenities standpoint.
Cheers.
