My favorite recent watches have been Bad Sisters and Black Bird on Apple TV, and Derry Girls (Netflix). I'm rewatching Happy Valley, so I can refresh my memory before watching the long-awaited season 3. Such a great show! Looking for some new things to watch, so I was glad to find this thread.

Without repeating earlier my comments: DW and I just watched, and very much liked, the two-episode French TV "policier" entitled Emma. (The two episodes were a pilot for a proposed series on a private network in France, which unfortunately did not pick up the production costs for the full series, despite very solid ratings for the pilot. Too bad!) The episodes are in (fast) French with above-average English subtitles. The only caveat is that there is some adult language.

We just finished George and Tammy and enjoyed it. Tulsa is good…Stallone is made for the lead.
I think 1883 is one of the best TV series of recent years…excellent story and wonderful acting. And, I am not a western drama fan. Followed along with Yellowstone. It’s just a little too soap opera like for me.
Recommend Wednesday…especially if you were an Adams Family fan. DH loved it.
Liked season 1 of White Lotus more than Season 2
DH loves Murderville…a comedy where a different contemporary actor plays a part in each episode.
Call the Mid Wife is an old favorite…waiting for new season of that and others. Getting ready to start Gilmore Girls.

“Yellowstone” so reminds me of back in the day night time soaps like “ Dallas”. I’m sure you don’t remember that but it was all the rage back in the day. Kevin Costner is a fine actor, but he is no “JR”….hahaha I am ready for some new night time soaps like “Dynasty”, “Knotts Landing”, “Falcons Crest”…..LOL We just finished George and Tammy and enjoyed it. Finishing up “ Daredevil”. Strangely, I liked it. I am having a hard time finding something to watch on Netflix. Most of the shows only have one season.

Alright have to say Marvel’s “ Daredevil” is a bit violent and sexually explicit for a Disney program. Are there certain levels of ratings on Disney+? I have my son’s family sharing my account and I sure would not want my 7 yo GD seeing some of these scenes.

It's rated TV-MA which can be blocked in the profile settings.

The Netflix Marvel series are: Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, Defenders and Punisher. Disney+ groups them as The Defenders Saga and they are all rated TV-MA. All of the Disney+ original Marvel series (She-Hulk, Loki, Moonknight, etc) are rated TV-14.

I have my son’s family sharing my account and I sure would not want my 7 yo GD seeing some of these scenes. I started watching these Marvel series a few weeks ago, and been binging since. Jessica Jones has a lot more 'adult' theming going on, and Luke Cage even more so, especially the language. NSFW or kids at all!! I'm going to keep watching tho. I was trying to watch in order, so far I've watched Daredevil seasons 1 and 2 (accidentally watched 2 right after,) Jessica Jones 1, Luke cage 1, and now I"m working through IronFist. Enjoyed Daredevil. I really didn't like the Jessica Jones character, very annoying, but the others were good. Luke Cage so far has the best story/cast. They all kind of get weak halfway through the seasons, I think, but still entertaining enough. Yeah, no way I"m going to recommend them to my son just yet. I remember when they announced they were coming to Disney+, I was surprised. Oh, also I totally agree with your comparison of Yellowstone to Dallas. Watching that first episode, I thought the exact same thing, that this feels like Dallas. JR, Sue Ellen, etc. I don't think I"m going to keep on with it
