DW and I watched The Gray Man last night. It stayed pretty close to the book(s) but I thought it was a little over the top for a lack of better words. As usual the book was better than the movie.

Reservation Dogs. It's a bit of everything--light, heavy, history, social commentary. Very well written with a great cast.

The kids and I finally started Wednesday. I was hesitant because I wasn't sure if it would be too scary for DD8. A good friend said she thought it would be ok. DD freaked out at the end of the first episode and I wasn't sure she would want to continue, but we watched the next two yesterday and she was into it. It's fun to have a show to watch together that everyone enjoys.

We just finished The Rings of Power - I really enjoyed it. (and DH stayed awake for all of the episodes, so that's our indication it is good!)

Binge watching “Anatomy of a Scandal” on Netflix. Stars Michelle Dockery from “Downton Abbey”. So far a good suspense.

DW and I really enjoyed The Rings of Power Season I and The Wheel of Time Season I on Amazon, and we await second seasons of both. I have been watching a number of Chinese, historically predicated TV series on Amazon, and I recommend Ming Dynasty which has only subtitles; several major characters are multi-dimensional and evolve. It is very long! DW has been watching the new National Treasure series on Disney+. (Hmmm....) We both liked the new Mandalorian Season III trailer. We also watched A Private Affair on Amazon, I do not recommend it, unless you are interested in series produced in other, non-English-speaking countries. A Private Affair has both dubbing and subtitles and is set in Spain in the post-WWII (i.e., Franco) era. {Short Spoiler} It starts out very light and frothy, but turns grim and tragic as the episodes proceed. It may have been intended to be followed by a second season, because its ending is flatter than a pancake.

I binged all of Fleabag, seasons 1 and 2, the last couple days. I didn't like it at first, mostly didn't like the main character, but the story gets a lot better as it goes on, and I'm glad I finished, and wish there would be a season 3, or have her come back older, like a decade later, catch up w the characters. Bad Batch still good Started The Last of Us. just the 1 episode. I have no background for this, didn't play the video game, etc. Hope it'll stay good. I need to go back and try and finish Rings of Power. only watched a couple episodes. We finally got to Terminal List. It started off good, but I found it got tedious, moved too slow, could've been shorter, I have 2 episodes left, DH Just has the final one, I'll just let him tell me what happens, if I don't get to it. Chris Pratt was very good in it. He reminds me of Patrick Swayze sometimes

Some of the shows that we've recently watched: The Terminal List Reacher Queen of the South Outlander
The Outlander series of books is WAY better, but in general I enjoyed the show.

I saw a commercial for Paul T. Goldman on Peacock. Looks interesting. That might be next to watch.

Rings of Power, is it necessary to have watched the other series, such as Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc.?

Rings of Power, is it necessary to have watched the other series, such as Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, etc.? Not really because Rings of Power is a prequel. Supposed to be far, far in the past, before the Trilogy. Like The Hobbit is a prequel to Lord of the Rings. They made them backwards.

Started watching Daredevil series yesterday, after flipping through all the channels. Stopped on the Marvel series, and DH said several are good. I'm about 7 episodes in. I like it a lot so far. I might keep on w the others, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, we'll see though. He said he liked the first 2 seasons of Daredevil, but not the 3rd.
