loved the Binge watching thread on the MO board, so wanted to keep it going here. What's everybody watching?
As far as Disney stuff, I'm sticking w Willow, but am not enjoying it much. Will finish it, but been quite disappointing. Bad Batch season 2 started. When this series was announced, was not at all interested. Very pleasantly surprised w the first season. National treasure series. Had no expectations, and enjoying it quite a bit. Love that it's set in Baton Rouge. Cool to see all of the local areas. It seems geared toward a much younger crowd, but it's good enough Rewatched some Andor. best SW in a long time. LOVED it.
Otherwise, looking forward to Call the Midwife, new season starts airing in the US in March. I LOVE this show. Enjoyed the 3rd season Jack Ryan Tried Yellowstone. Do not like it. Probably won't continue. Did watch a little of the 1923, it was good. We don't have Paramount, so not sure when I'll see any more of it. Watched a few silly movies, but enjoyed them: Game Night, Red Notice, Guardian holiday special Also watched 1917, very excellent.
What are y'all watching???

We just finished “Wednesday.” It was interesting and DH didn’t fall asleep during most of it so I guess that’s a win. It’s very Sci fi. I think…probably not the right term for it.
We will now go back to Jack Ryan.
We tried 1833…or some long ago year. We just couldn’t understand it. Also, DH falls asleep and that doesn’t work for this show.
We rented Elvis at the end of December and I’m glad it was a “free” rental. We didn’t care for it at all. I was so looking forward to watching it too.

DS started watching, per friends' recommendations, so I was glad to be able to watch something w him. He doesn't watch too much tv. I started Elvis, and didn' t like it either, but might give it another chance. Stopped watching about 30 mins in. My mom loved Elvis.

I was disappointed. We actually like Yellowstone. Tad bit violent at times, but nowadays it seems the norm.

Wife watched all the seasons of Yellowstone but I think she petered out this last one and didn't finish it. Sometimes those things go on too long. TBH I don't like the way "tv shows" are now actually "10-hour movies" and they move too slowly for me. That said, I did sit down and we watched "Tulsa King" together and I had a lot of fun. Otherwise, the only "tv" I watch is countless hours of youtube videos! A couple cooking shows, a home construction/renovation show, my new thing is a lady who does metal machining on lathes and mills, I'm loving it. I also sometimes tune into Adam Savage (from MythBusters) building things in his shop...which...my shop is just as cluttered but mine is 98% mess and piles of junk. Oh, and late nights watching music videos, last night I ended with John Denver and Mama Cass doing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" duet, I want to say it was 1972.

Re-subscribed to Apple network last night to watch the second season of Slow Horses. VERY good. I think better than the first season. probably will just keep it for the month, then resubscribe when Ted lasso comes back. There are a few good things on that network, but not enough to keep it for now

Seeing all the grey heads on here reminded me that we watched “The Grey Man” and found it enjoyable. I think my mom is reading the books too.

Yes, this has been a valuable resource with regards to my binge watching . I have just finished “Kaleidoscope “ on Netflix and “Peripheral” on Prime. Loved Kaleidoscope!! Peripheral takes some focusing in the beginning to get who all of the characters are and their purpose.

Love me some Mama Cass! Cant wait for the next season of Yellowstone. I tried to watch “1923” ( think that’s right?) but stuff kept having me miss those episodes. I think I will pass on trying to catch up on that one.

Seeing all the grey heads on here reminded me that we watched “The Grey Man” and found it enjoyable. I think my mom is reading the books too. The Gray Man books were excellent. I binge read all of them and now hoping for more in the series. I haven't seen the movie yet but plan on it. Has anybody seen the Jack Reacher tv series? I have and it was very close to the book. That's another book series that I binge read. Lol

There’s a lot more character development in the books.

We love Wednesday. We've seen about 3 or 4 episodes. And they had a Metallica sound, acoustic at the end of episode 3. Fabulous!
Not really 'Sci Fi," but more "Supernatural."
Cheers.

We just finished the most recent season of Jack Ryan. We're watching Tulsa King right now. I think the last episode of the season just came out. Sad that Yellowstone went to a mid-season finale, as we always looked forward to that. It's not back until summer. We're waiting to start the 1923 series until all of the episodes are out. We have too many right now that only release one at a time and I like to binge one episode every night for a week or two. We also just finished season 2 of White Lotus. This is an older one, but if you haven't watched The Righteous Gemstones yet, it's hilarious (if you don't mind comedy revolving around mega-churches). I think there is supposed to be another season soon. I need to watch Andor. We started it when it first came out and nobody in the house was interested so we quit. I think I'll go back and watch it on my own because it has come highly recommended my a lot of my friends. I just started season 2 of Ginny & Georgia last night. I watch that on my own. It's been compared to a dark "Gilmore Girls" and I can kind of see the comparison (HUGE Gilmore Girls fan here!).

Three Pines is on Amazon (I think). I love this book series by Louise Penny. There’s a lot more character development in the books. I didn't know there was a three pines series on amazon. I love the Louise Penny three pines book series, especially Ruth Zardo. I cannot help but think of her anytime someone says they are fine. I'm a big fan of James Rollins books--a little history, religion, science.
