I was looking at monthly sales info over on DVC News and saw the article for DVC next WDW resort sales application.
In summary..... Permit was filed 10/13/23 to sell the new resort.
The permit is under review.
Typically, from filing of permit is around 9 months....so maybe next June/July?
18876 timeshare weeks are listed, which is 363 possible cabins.
I am still a big fat "NO" on this resort.

I wonder if the cabins will have lock-off units?

Basically a studio that sleeps six.
There will be a portion of the units that will allow owners to bring their dogs to stay with them. I am sure there are numerous people that would love to stay and bring their dogs "legally" to stay on WDW property.

Big fat no here too. I was even talking about how after March we'll have done all WDW DVC resorts and after that I'm done. No requirement to stay new.
Interesting aside no permit filed for PVB yet...

If the points aren't too outrageous, I wouldn't mind staying in one at least once.

If I was desperate and needed a room with only a few days notice, I would hesitantly book a cabin/studio.

Given the 8-9 month rule, I don't expect to see the Poly Tower filing until next summer. Except it's still on for a end of 2024 opening date. 8-9 months prior to opening would be March to April (assuming a December date). Sales start earlier than the opening. As of right now June/July is 8-9 months out next year, which is when they expect sales of Ft Wilderness to start. Disneyland Villas were early May sell date, and end of September open (almost a full month lead for DVC) - almost 5 months for DVC VGF Resort rooms were March for June opening date (again DVC had about 3 weeks lead) 3.5 months for DVC Riviera was March/April for December opening date (2 week lead for DVC) about 8.5 months CCV was March/April for a July opening date (3 week lead for DVC) almost 4 months for DVC (provided I can count right) I expect to see PVB soon to be - and when they do we'll know for sure what will be. They may go like VGF and go for like a 3-4 month lead, but adding 9 months to that and we'll see it by end of the year. They definitely aren't following RR lead on time before opening. Original PVB was January sales date for April opening. Big fat no here too. I was even talking about how after March we'll have done all WDW DVC resorts and after that I'm done. I would need better transportation for us. Pools are losing appeal as the kid gets older so it'd have to have something. I know the busses at Ft. Wilderness and having to rent a golf cart to make it livable is a negative for me, especially if I am late to renting and cannot find one.

This is also a hard “ no” for us. I want a deluxe resort, and these cabins are far from it.

Zero interest here. Resort of last resort. Disney Springs "good neighbor" hotels could see me prior, though points still don't hurt the wallet as much as dollars... Or I could just drive home instead, ha.

I can actually see a market for these, but I feel like they will appeal more to renters than owners. For those families who have consistently tried to stuff 5-6 people into a studio, these will be ideal. However, I’m thinking that they will be priced more like a 1BR than a studio.
In order to make them appealing to us, they would need a dedicated bedroom with a king size bed, and maybe a sleeper or Murphy in the living room. They would also need a dedicated transportation system, restaurant, and pool. And they would have to be < a 1BR at WL or AKL. Bring all that to the table, and I would consider trying them out.

All that, plus a second bathroom - even just a toilet and sink.
