Based on the title, it would appear to be about the Manhattan project folks. Cheers. Correct, the trailer indicates that while it covers the whole shebang, I think it is meant to have a lot to do with Oppenheimer himself - creating the team and then his struggles with the idea of what he's done. I hope that they don't dumb down all the science but who am I kidding, it's whatever year it currently is. Movies are all dumb. I like firing up the old "2001" from what, 1967? Long, slow, full of boring science - which of course is interestingly pertinent now. Trailer for "Oppenheimer": link

I live like 60 miles from Hanford where 70% of US plutonium was made. My uncle even worked at K reactor back in the 1980s for awhile. Probably ten years ago I took the tour through Hanford. It was pretty cool and interesting as we drove by White Bluffs. I guess back then, when the people were asked to leave for the war, the obliged without a fuss out of patriotic duty. Then we got to stop at B Reactor for awhile which was impressive. One of the stories they recited to us was how the original plutonium was handed off to an army officer acting as a courier to deliver the plutonium to Los Alamos. He was taking it to New Mexico on the train. His superior asked him if he got a private coach, to which he said 'no, it is just me. I don't need anything like that.' He was told what he was carrying was worth $500m. He got a private coach. So yeah, I'm looking forward to it. The Manhattan project is still part of our local culture to this day. Everyone knows someone that has worked at Hanford at some point.

Verizon introduces Gizmo watch Disney digital experience……A smartwatch that introduces you child to your child to wireless technology! Yes every CHILD needs lifestyle apps! Lively characters!? I am sure. At this point in time I want Disney guiding any point of my child’s upbringing, thank you no. Thank god they are grown and flown, with a work ethic and no need for safe spaces.

I think I am more concerned with the “Skip Ads” in some of the music commercial if you hesitate and watch one second too long ! Much worse for children than anything from Disney !
Is this movie a Disney release? Actually I can see the Universal logo in the upper left corner…

Ted Lasso finale was wonderful. Well, started of very weirdly, and silly, but got better. As always, laughed, cried, cheered!

Ted Lasso finale was wonderful. Well, started of very weirdly, and silly, but got better. As always, laughed, cried, cheered! Wish I could watch Ted Lasso. That would mean I would need to add a 5th streaming channel ( Apple TV), which isn’t happening.

Since we were talking about the new movie "Oppenheimer", if anyone is interested you could check out this Epic Rap Battle between Thanos and Oppenheimer from a few years back:

That would mean I would need to add a 5th streaming channel ( Apple TV), which isn’t happening. It's an easy show to binge, and Apple TV often has "try it free for three months" promos.
