Yesterday we did something completely un-budget friendly and impulsive. We called our TA, Linda, and booked a September DCL cruise - Fantasy. We're joining DH's brother. It will be the longest cruise we've ever taken - 6N! It was amazing. We were able to book air on points, find a pre and post night at DVC, and book the cruise. It was like an alignment of stars. DH did make sure we purchased the insurance because it was so amazingly doable that we're like ... tentative. Now I have to figure out how to pack. This should be interesting. DH, "We can still do our carry-on's." Ah huh.... One of the best WDW trips we did was completely last minute in Dec 2008. It was a blast!! Nice work!!!

Yesterday in PA a horrendous thunder storm blew through right before the end of my babysitting day. The thunder woke the baby up but he was pretty much done his afternoon nap anyway. Turned my 40 minute ride home into 90 minutes but at least I was able to get home and most of my driving was not during the torrential downpours. The front part was but the turnpike traffic was only going about 20m/hr so that worked. When I agreed to this babysitting I was worried about snow. Totally zoned on the flooding aspect. Driving through 3 inch streams of water is pretty worrying.

This extension, that extension, lol. At least the NJ turnpike, it goes north it goes south. Much easier, imho.

I recently had a fabulous experience selling something on Craigslist. Sometimes these are scams, more often than not, they are OK. This was above-and-beyond. We were scheduled to go to Napa to see Train on 7/21 and Neil Young on 7/23. mrs. brp was not feeling well on Friday, 7/21, so we decided not to drive up. Instead. I put the tickets on Craigslist, very last minute. I had paid about $237 total for both. i put them for $75 each, obo. After an obligatory "are these still available" mailing, I got another with a phone number. I called and we chatted. I can generally tell when someone is real, and he seemed to be. he mentioned having been scammed on Craigslist, and I could understand. He offered $120 total, and I accepted. My plan was to transfer the tickets to him first, and wait until he accepted them, and then do payment. He got the tickets, and sent VenMo payment. All good. Well, seems that he was the manager at a small, and new, tasting room in Napa. He invited us to a tasting. We went Sunday and, while mrs. brp does not drink, I do It was fabulous. We spent about two hours, chatting with James about the wine, music and the show. Did the tasting (normally a $50 affair- it's Napa), plus another selection. Much conversation about wine, wine process, their wines and locations, Train, the Grateful Dead. This was really very nice. And then we got to go see Neil Young Cheers.

What a week! Finishing off with Boma breakfast tomorrow with that guy who lives near SFB in Florida! The pecan rolls hopefully are there. Bill and I will then hit Epcot to grab some Food & Wine booklets for the kids so they can plan their attack for our September family gathering at Kidani. The SFB Guy might continue to hide in the AC. It's steamy down here! Happy Friday everyone!

Still bummed that Party for the Senses appears not to be happening this year. We booked a November trip based on past dates to try and catch this, but looks like we're SOL.
Cheers.

Glad you enjoyed, Karl! Wow, first time not at a monorail resort, amazing Great pictures! Hi Peeps 😊 Brian ya it is amazing when you think about it, But we just really liked being on the monorail.….. I went to training camp, and Anthony Richardson just looked like he barely flip his wrist and he thru a 60 yard in the air TD pass. I know he has a lot to learn, but it will be fun to watch him progress …… How’s the Jets training camp going from your perspective ? Here’s the pictures of Poly Towers from last April, Has anyone have any updates or pictures of how the Poly Towers construction is coming along ?

Pecan rolls were fabulous minus the pecans. The heat is not fabulous however.
Happy Saturday!
