Happy Friday for 2 reasons - 1) it's Friday and 2) I can open my window!!! Our air quality was compromised by a weather front that directed fire smoke down instead of out to sea. Babysitting without being able to take the kids outside was a major PIA yesterday. I feel for the folks in the northeast, and elsewhere, with these air quality issues. We had this with local wildfires a couple of years back. This was our air at the time.

Yesterday I bought a nursing rocker. I resisted the one from a dear friends house they were trying to empty, which had a nicer finish = stupid. We were at a rummage/barn sale of a local church where 100% of the proceeds are in support of some charity. That's my only justification for buying a quilted valance still packaged that doesn't match my house (maybe one of the kids can use it  ), a salt glazed vase dated 2000 from Williamsburg Pottery Factory, a pet carrier rated for air travel for a pet under 10 pounds (my sons larger chihuahua will not fit but his 6 pounder or our new resident, my daughters 3 pounder, will fit) and that rocker. I did find two cute dresses for our 11y granddaughter to wear during her church service activities. And I resisted the really cutely packaged DVD movie (that I can no longer even remember the title) and two cute side tables - one half moon and the other country shaker. The rocker was only $10.... |

There is a brownie place by Brian too!! Indeed! To be tried when parents visit next month if not prior. Pizza, doughnuts and brownies...OH MY!! It's fun around Brian's place!! Bill finished his food challenge and he also officially retired yesterday from food challenges. He'll still eat large quantities of food at Disney buffets, but food challenges are done. At least that's what he's saying post Colossal Pizza Challenge. We must investigate the doughnuts in Sanford. I saw where it was in google maps so this is another weekend adventure! 2 hours for doughnuts? Yup. It's full indoor weather down here in the Sunshine State that's for sure. Car riding is okay then with AC...so it works. |

Here is the link to Bill's latest & LAST food challenge. I know he'll still eat a ton at Disney buffets, but he's over the food challenges at least for now!
This place had great food. They seem to be in the Lake Mary area and north, but the food was very good. It was pretty busy for a Saturday afternoon too when we were there. Once Bill has his desire to eat pizza back again, I know we will go back.
