During our October cruise DH pulled the plug on our vacation frequency. Since I retired in July 2021 we'd been flying down to Disney about every other or every 3 months and he'd finally had it with the air travel, along with constant packing. So we completed the 2 vacations I had planned in December and March - they were planned! In two months I've gained 10 pounds cause all I do is sit (read/tv), babysit (= lots of napping & I get my hand slapped for waking him - "He's growing!") and walking twice a week isn't the same activity level as bar hopping at Disney. Our next vacation isn't until October so either I have to up my walking game, reduce my wine intake, increase my vegetation intake or I'm gonna be buying new vacation clothes. DH, of course, still weighs the same, the bastard (I cleaned that epplitive up for y'all). I’d just tell him he doesn’t have to go if he doesn’t want to… Yeah... he gets his feelings hurt. When I push it, because I'm irritated enough to push, he'll go along and then I get a lot of 'see I'm here, even though I don't wanna be'. I tend to go without him only when he suggests it.

I have literally never eaten at Taco Bell. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat! (you might notice my avatar) I believe the phrase "Taco Tuesday" is actually trademarked (or patented or however that works) by Taco John's, which is also delicious but you may or may not have them in your area.

I believe the phrase "Taco Tuesday" is actually trademarked (or patented or however that works) by Taco John's. Correct, Taco John's has a trademark on "Taco Tuesday" in all states except NJ where it's trademarked by a company called Gregory's. Taco Bell has filed petitions to get those trademarks invalidated since "Taco Tuesday" is now a common saying. www.tacobell.com/freeing-taco-tuesday

Is tonight considered Monday eve? Shitty days are undeserving of an Eve in my book. You of course can do as you wish… Aww, shucks, Started cleaning for you for Saturday, haha. Super excited! Brain visit and a food challenge…what could be better?? Too bad Bill will be too full to try doughnuts! Next time! Oh many many things could be better, ha…. But I’ll take it, thanks. And yes, doughnuts must be tried on a future visit.

Is tonight considered Monday eve? It doesn’t have the appeal that Friday Eve has though. Dreadful Mondays. I still think Tuesday is the crappiest day of the week. It’s just a big nothing. Every other day of the week has something associated with it. Tuesday is just Tuesday and I always felt it was worse than Monday. The only thing that Tuesday has over Monday is that it’s not as busy at the post office. That’s about it. And, if you like tacos. But, does Taco Bell still have Taco Tuesday? I have literally never eaten at Taco Bell. I feel this is a plus honestly. Oh my - I thought I was the only one that thought Tuesdays were worse than Mondays

I do love tacos just never been to Taco Bell or Taco John's. Whaaatt!!!!!! I remember going on camping road trips with my buddy back in our 20s, we would hit all the Taco John's we could. Taco John's is from Wyoming and I remember going to a Taco John's in a tiny town in Wyoming, at the foothills of some mountain range, the place had like two tables and the counter you order at. Waiting for my food, there was a another person waiting for their food...a kid of 14 or 15, a real cowboy - boots, jeans, hat, lots of dust, big knife and a giant round coil of rope on his hip. We would call it a lasso but I don't know if that's correct. I remember looking around and everybody looked like that.

Correct, Taco John's has a trademark on "Taco Tuesday" in all states except NJ where it's trademarked by a company called Gregory's. Taco Bell has filed petitions to get those trademarks invalidated since "Taco Tuesday" is now a common saying. This makes me remember learning that Subway had a trademark on calling a sandwich a "footlong" so other sandwich places have to call it a "12-inch" lest they get sued. I don't know if this is still in place or not. Man now I want Taco John's. I only say that because it's nearly midnight. Maybe I can get some tomorrow. Probably not since I literally have Taco Bell in my freezer so why would I get Taco John's. Of course the Taco Bell in the freezer is already frozen so it will keep, so I COULD get Taco John's instead...mmmmmmmmm We used to have TWO Taco John's locations in our town back in the day, now there is only one. In a place where there used to be a Burger King, they tore it down and built a Taco John's. The other Taco John's is, strangely enough, a Domino's Pizza, but the building still totally looks like a '90s Taco John's. When I was a tiny kid, the Taco John's we had back then is still standing, but now it's a car repair place hee hee. The old-school Taco Bell was kitty-corner across the street, it was - until recently - a place that sold shoes and other things for runners, as it was on a path next to the river. It was only recently tore down because I think the University bought the land but I'm not 100% sure on that. It had the stereotypical bell in the arch above the store and everything. What's weird (as if none of this other stuff is weird) is that I remember there used to be a fast-food mexican place called "Zantigo's" - loved it, went there all the time. Summer of 1986 Zantigo's closed...and Taco Bell moved into their building and even took over some of their recipes!

Happy Friday for 2 reasons - 1) it's Friday and 2) I can open my window!!! Our air quality was compromised by a weather front that directed fire smoke down instead of out to sea. Babysitting without being able to take the kids outside was a major PIA yesterday.
