Since we discovered the Rix we've been wanting to stay at Coronado. As AK alumni the bus situation doesn't bother us much.

Hi Thought of you yesterday when I picked up a 12 of Bell's Two Hearted hee hee I happened to swing through the Walmart liquor store (in this state, the liquor store is separate from the main store) which I don't normally do. Was looking for a beer and I don't buy "normal" beers, but I was pleased to see the 12 of Two Hearted. Kind of kicked myself because a few weeks back we took a little road trip and I saw a 12 sampler pack of Bell's, should have gotten it but didn't. They were all variations on the "hearted" theme. They had one in there that was a little stronger, like 9% or 8.5 but if they were to create for me an Imperial Hearted or something, it would be right up my alley.

The hotel is very nice - rooms were good and access to Maya Grill and Rix (which we did for breakfast) was nice. We had a car but did use the bus on MK day. No complaints

(in this state, the liquor store is separate from the main store) Barbaric practice. As is the "no alcohol on Sunday" thing. Say what one will about CA (and there are really a lot of things one could say...and we say them ), booze is freely available and even the Walgreen's has a fine wine selection.
Cheers.

I have family in Idaho and Utah, and let me tell you about liquor laws -- holy crap. No private liquor stores are allowed. Just State-run "distribution" centers, and archaic rules.
And from what we can tell, there is only ONE liquor distribution center in all of Utah that is open after 7p on Saturdays, and it closes at 10p. And they're not allowed to sell mixers!

As is the "no alcohol on Sunday" thing. It was only a couple years ago here that they changed the law so the stores could be open on Sunday. It caused quite a stir in the news: "This could mean rampant drunk driving" stuff. Pretty much nothing happened. All it meant was that no longer do you have to remember to zip over there Saturday evening. And we don't live too far from two other states, so people were taking that drive already if they wanted to. Now I'm starting to see signs around for joining the movement to get "strong beer and wine" in stores. We'll see. Target sells some 3.2 stuff, that's the only place I can think of. We were on a road trip one time in Wisconsin, I believe, stopped at this podunk gas station in this podunk town, I don't remember what time it was but it was dark, it had to be after 10pm. Turns out they had a full-blown walk-in beer cooler full of really fun stuff. I bought several items.

Geez, another family assault at MK! That park just continues to drop to the bottom of our park list.

Geez, another family assault at MK! That park just continues to drop to the bottom of our park list. A reflection of the society we live in. Way too much "me" and not nearly enough "all of us."
