The new Disney File Magazine does have a lot of detail aboutPoly Island Tower but I just took the time to enter the new DVC Sweepstakes . It includes 5 extra videos to click thru but the amount of detail that is revealed by the artisans explaining their craft design is worth enduring if you love the Poly . Especially the tattoo artist since I just saw his designs on the buildings as I went past on the monorail . Getting very excited ! The tattoo artist is phenomenal. I looked up his work and they are pretty impressive there. I wound up saving all the videos so I can show my kid. He's into that kind of stuff. We had a busy weekend so hopefully tomorrow when he's off of school for the day. I also loved the manta ray in the 1 & 2 bedrooms and think it's cool it started from an ink drawing by the tattoo artist as well. It's going to be a long 4 months until I can get there lol

Making a separate post for this. Since were were talking the videos...
In there they discussed Wailulu Bar & Grill. They mentioned casual and walk up - exact terms that they use for Geyser Point. I could be wrong on this, but from both the plans and how it's described, I expect TS for dining plan. To Go options like at Kona & Geyser Point (and a few others do). But no ADRs for it.
Based on the plans calling it TS and other descriptions used, it will not be standard QS either. I do not see this quite like Primo Piatta simply for the TS designations they have used everywhere. That only matters really for DDP though.

Can you talk about the pool some? Size, etc?

We know it will be zero entry on the south side of the pool. Depth and actual size otherwise is hard. I have seen all the negatives you have, I am sure. Same with the parking lots (and had people say PVB other side is awful, just awful for parking, when I literally never had an issue and could even find shady spots) so I take a lot with a huge grain of salt. I took these two pictures and filled the pools in with brighter colors, so they are more visible to the eye. Playing in photoshop, it looks like it will be roughly similar surface area as the Oasis pool. The main oval part is larger than the part closest to the lagoon but the area left over wasn't far off from what we have at the bottom facing Aotearoa. I can see this pool possibly being a draw for Tuvalu & Fiji as well. We'll see though. Admittedly my focus hasn't been strong on the pool because we rarely use them now but I know it's super important to many. Hopefully it's gated and hopefully people can stop letting others in.

I love chilling by the pool and using the hot tub. Maybe my kid will want to do it more later but for now he's kind of out of pool use. I think it always looked better in the plans than from sideline photos. I think the same is true of the other two pools too. It's really hard to judge though. I just hope it's not as cramped as SAB with chairs and such.

One more Fixed Week (49 Studio Standard View) popped up with an Oct 2 date on it.
I was looking at photos of the Aotearoa roof being fixed. Samoa too apparently after Milton (insurance hold up - ours is too still and ours was from Helene - just waiting on a check to start work on our roof replacement). I didn't realize how high the roofs of the longhouses were really until today. You cannot even see part of the tower over the longhouses. I might give them even more credit than before after seeing it.

Not sure that this is 100% accurate or not, but touring plans added the Island Tower their room finder information touringplans.com/hotel_maps/disneys-polynesian-villas-bungalowsTotal points sold is just shy of 99,000 points. I have the exact number on my computer that I can look up later. I have seen no more fixed weeks show up in the last week or so

Total was 98,797 from my double checked numbers. We are still seeing first week of October showing up a lot. I expect to see the first day of sales for public too.
Not surprisingly in the first 2 weeks Oct 9 and 10th for signed deed dates are the lowest of them all.

Just starting to look at today's numbers for PVB. They were off for federal holiday yesterday. Just surpassed 100k points sold and saw the first recorded new owner (or at least new membership for that person) today - 200 points sold. Still in Oct though. I have yet to see any Nov dates but 70 deeds so far have been recorded today.

I wonder if it will "carry" some of the other Poly restaurants offerings or create its own distinct menu.

Oh yeah - totally It might be close though I'm going to do some comparisons when I get first month totals all in. I think between Milton and some other weird delays we might be further behind than usual with recording deeds. I wonder if it will "carry" some of the other Poly restaurants offerings or create its own distinct menu. Kid and I are hoping for a bit unique but maybe some similar vibe to some. I could see Tonga Toast being offered at breakfast though but maybe with its own little twist. Kona and Cpt Cook's each has their own little stamp on how its done. Would be awesome if some drinks are carried across though. I have a huge weakness for pomegranate lemonade. My kid loves the keiki lemonade. Though GCH won't be a far walk at all. Possibly closer than our longhouse stays.
