While searching for a mid December reservation, I picked up a standard view studio at Boardwalk the week of Thanksgiving to possibly rent. I do need to unload about 50-60 points before they expire next year, but this reservation is more than 60 pts. I'm torn between searching for a renter now just for the points that will expire (+/-) or holding onto this Thanksgiving reservation until the last minute planners are looking to go to Disney later this year. I could probably get a slight premium for waiting, but it takes a little faith that someone will eventually want that busy week or if I'm not putting myself in pickle. Do any experienced renters have thoughts on an optimal time to list a confirmed reservation (on say Facebook) to start getting interest around the holidays? Right now, it seems like the confirmed reservations I see listed are between now and spring break.
I listed some points on Facebook last year and it seems like many there were looking for a cheap Boardwalk studio within the next 2 months, for a marathon no less. Yea, those rooms were gone a long time ago. It was a frustrating process. The confirmed reservation would help not having to deal with the dipping toes in the water type renters.

If you have it, list it.....DVC has always been an amazing rental timeshare to own.
PS - I have always found it easier to rent points, then to rent pre-booked weeks.
