Is there an entrance to Disney Springs at the end where House of Blues and Cirque are located? Seems last time we went everything was routed thru a central entry??

Yes . I think it is called Surface Parking on the signs . This is also the location for the non Disney Resort charter busses to drop off and pick up. I stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek once and that surface parking lot was one of the stops.
I always park in Orange Parking Lot for covered parking .This Garage location is closest to the Cirque Building if you want or need covered parking. Do not park on the Orange Garage ground level because the required security entrance is on the upper level . lSo you would go thru security and down escalator to enter Disney Springs and turn left. The Cirque Building has parking for the Orange covered garage and uncovered surface parking ( Strawberry ) if you prefer to park and walk outdoors along the waterfront . Be sure to check out the new Summer House Restaurant. It is beautiful !

I’m not sure where the actual entry / ticket entrance is for the Cirque Building. I have noticed steps to go up a level.I think I saw the ticket booth on the ground level across from House of Blues. I rarely walk all the way down there.
Im trying to figure out why they still have security entering from the parking garages and not from the Resort Bus drop off.
Anyway (off topic) but UniversalStudios Orlando has completely updated their security . No more finger touch points. Just a photo taken once and then facial recognition with your Ticket .

So you can enter DSfrom that end? You don’t need to walk to the central entrance?? Yes. We did this a few months ago. The pathways are blocked/marked so you are routed to the front side of the Cirque building to the scanning/security checkpoint. And an FYI, if you are using rideshare to get to Disney Springs, and want to be dropped off at this end of DS, choose Cirque as your destination.

Anyway (off topic) but UniversalStudios Orlando has completely updated their security . No more finger touch points. Just a photo taken once and then facial recognition with your Ticket . This is a nice advancement. Is it any faster, or do folks still have to go one-by-one for the facial scan?
There was a story some months back about a reporter being banned from an MSG entertainment venue as she had been critical of the owner. Seems that her photo was in the system and she was spotted in the crowd by facial recognition. So they can clearly pick out the faces quickly even in a moving crowd. They should be able to scan the ticket at a distance, do a 2D location of the ticket scan, correlate with the face position (as the example above) and have the person OK'd without stopping.
I do expect this at some point (likely at Disney as well), but not sure if they're quite there yet.
Cheers.

So far , they are taking photos as each Passholder enters . But the entrance and exit have been updated in preparation . I don’t know enough about new security techniques but I do hope it tracks access to guests that have been “trespassed” off property and other criminals .
