I just read that yesterday. Insane. Glad there was a good update because when I read it there had been no action taken on Disney's part (or poorly reported). Personally I'd be too embarrassed to ever share this with anyone myself

Glad Disney stepped up and made them whole. TBH I almost made the same mistake the other day when placing a Sam’s Club Order. I saw the special for the gift card and was going to grab a couple then realized they were D+ not Disney. what I am wondering is usually there is a limit to how many cards you can buy. I can’t imagine buying $10k worth!

They must have spent a lot of time accumulating these Disney+ gift cards. I, too, saw some nicely discounted Disney+ gift cards during the holiday shopping season. Maybe because I'm used to buying gift cards, the first thing I did was check to see if they would be good for the other aspects of Disney. They weren't so I moved on, but thought to myself "I bet many people will buy these thinking they can use them at WDW/Disneyland."

A major oops, indeed. Very nice of Disney to come through for them.

Glad Disney stepped up and made them whole. I'd say that Disney went quite a bit beyond making them whole. They made a mistake and received just what they were purchased and were already whole. Disney went further by doing a very nice favor to correct their mistake. Good on Disney.
Cheers.

That is like 83 years of Disney plus.
