We are trying to grab either a lunch or dinner ADR to the Space 220 Lounge towards the end of February. In the meantime I currently have an ADR for Spice Road and Takumi Tei. What's the quickest way to swap to Space 220 if I get notification of an opening? My understanding is that I have to go into MDE and cancel the current reservation and then proceed to search for the Space 220 Lounge opening and then book it. Is this the only way? If so, it seems like a solid way to lose a current reservation while also missing out on the new one. MDE seems to be so clunky and I'm wondering if maybe I'm simply doing it wrong?

You won't need to cancel anything first. If you are using a reservation notification service, the quickest way to get notified is by text message, but some charge for that service, whereas email notifications some do not charge for. When you receive your notification, immediately click on the link in the notification that lists the reservation time (for MouseDining, it would be the first link listed that will take you to MDE). It will take you to the Disney site where you will be prompted to login (if you haven't very recently been logged in) or it will take you to the page to book the reservation (if you recently logged into the site). Then simply book the reservation. You can cancel the other reservations afterwards.

. You can cancel the other reservations afterwards. My recent experience was that when booking the new one they’ll tell you have another reservation at the same time and ask which you want to keep. But I agree you shouldn’t cancel anything first. Also if using the Touring Plans finder and the link doesn’t work, the always log onto MDE anyway and try searching. I assume the same applies using other alerts too.

We are trying to grab either a lunch or dinner ADR to the Space 220 Lounge towards the end of February. We do want to go to Space 220. But the Pre Fixe prices are way high and reviews I'cve seen on the food are lukewarm. We're just gonna have to wait until we can get in to the bar for bar food.
Cheers.

You can book the lounge which allows for bar or full menu. Food is okay. I had issues eating and the server was being dissed by the chef but eventually figured out together food I could eat. We won't go back. The ambiance is cool for like 10 minutes then gets old.

Generally speaking I only book one member for each meal and leave the rest open. Since we all have our own MDE we just log in on a different account if trying super fast.
