Interesting blog post from John Gruber at Daring Fireball: daringfireball.net/2023/08/disney_strategy_chartsIn 1957 (and a later 1967 Org chart also referenced), everything revolves around theatrical releases. Ben Thompson argued in the linked post he wrote on Straterchery that Disney should have delayed a switch to streaming as long as possible. Gruber’s conclusion, on the other hand, is that “Disney was, and should remain, a serious engineering company. In 1967, WED engineers were creating everything from theme park animatronics to transportation systems.” I think most of us here would agree that you don’t advance your brand by releasing subpar content.

I think most of us here would agree that you don’t advance your brand by releasing subpar content. But what if you just release larger amounts of it? Works for Top 40 radio.
