I noticed today that there seems to be a lot of additional availability at many DVC resorts for March, 7-month mark. I wasn't having much luck for the past two weeks but this morning I was able to get the reservation I wanted!

We're looking ahead. Blew it on flights when they first came out but since our school stupidly moved spring break 2 weeks later, flights are nuts. No Caribbean for us (looking at $1k per person). So we're doing a few days at Disney. So much is available today. We do swap on the 25th, but could have points to walk if we decide on a 1 bed standard at Riviera. But that looks very open now.

So we're doing a few days at Disney. So much is available today. We do swap on the 25th, but could have points to walk if we decide on a 1 bed standard at Riviera. But that looks very open now. Yikes, that sucks they changed the date. Was that after it was first announced? That said, I’d be delighted if we could get flights for $1k per person. Being tied to school holidays since CMs. The irony is it’s long been as a result of my job, not the boys’ school dates. |

We're talking non international flights that are usually $300-500. So they more than doubled. Our Florida flights are usually $350 now. Spring break we fenagled $450 for just a 3 night stay. For longer (aka weekend travel) was $500-600. Since kid has been in middle school, we have followed schedules. Looked and all of march is open for standard view for Riviera. I'll wait until the 25th. |

I know why but still hurts that flights were more than double last year due to a stupid change. We were going to consider more time and Vero beach. Now no way with our 3 night stay. I just couldn't stomach more in terms of costs. Will look again but paying one way what we usually pay total stinks. Just glad there are lots of room options. |

Hope this availability trend will continue into April as well. I'd be surprised if it didn't. Very open the last week of March still. Only a handful of room types gone as a whole the week before and after Easter. Passover being later probably helps too. |
