Since the OP deleted the original post it looks like I started the thread - I did not.
I own at both CCV and PVB. CCV is small but no issues getting in at 11 months. PVB has been no issues at all. In fact, I've done more last minute stays with them.
Having stayed in a bungalow it is quiet, because we were all out on our decks. You could only hear the noise from the back side lol

Agree with Helenabear. Own at both properties and at 11 month mark no issues I’ve booked in 7 and under and there is still availability most of the time. I have stayed in the bungalows, they are quiet but I think that’s the point. They are large and you have your own walkway. You need to be staying there to access the gate to even start your stroll to your bungalow. So it would be quiet as it’s only those staying there. Never stayed in the cabins but again the setting is for privacy and would be quiet. I do rent my extra points from time to time, as far as availability, many times Poly studios are available in under the 7 month mark.

The issues with those point hogging units at Poly and Copper Creek is not home resort booking, its all those Cabin & bungalow points going out to the other resorts at the 7 month window.

Just want to add this anecdotally. Running a big group I find that because PVB sold when minimum buy ins were low that many PVB owners stay elsewhere due to point cost. As in they never bought to stay at PVB. Or not regularly because their points go way further elsewhere. I probably use my PVB to stay at PVB more than elsewhere. That's not the norm I'm finding.

Larger families, traveling with friends, room snobs (me) are looking for bigger units.

And single guys (me) with the occasional visitor will gladly scoop up those studios whenever they appear... with occasional visits to the larger villas as well.

They are perfect for solo stays or mom & son trips where having a murphy is far more enjoyable than a sofa bed in a 1 bedroom. We've done the connecting studios and bungalows but neither appeals regularly anymore. Both the cabins and bungalows are not suited for bigger groups. We'd only do if for the 3 of us with the bed situation and we often bring a 4th. It was fine when my boy was little. Now that he's 5'10" the 2nd bedrooms feel squashed. Hard to enjoy the decks when people are using the living room to sleep IMO. I do adore the bungalows, but it's rare they'd work for us. Same with the cabins. But we're used to spreading out. IMO the layout focuses far too much on the master and living rooms and not enough on real usability. Oh and the locations of some cabins down right stink. We'd rather do regular 2 bedrooms for the 3 of us so we can easily invite a 4th. Part of why I am super excited for PVB expansion however it falls. Polynesian and WL quickly have become our favorites. I have little desire to stay elsewhere now.

Lol! Room Snob! I never really thought of myself that way, but I totally am, too! Our family of four always got a 2BR or a Treehouse. I don't like people sleeping in the living space, I guess. Now that our DDs have grown and flown, DH and I still get 1BR. Good thing for all of us that there are many types of units.

Fortunately Ohio starts at 15.5 for temps so we're able to knock out most of the in car driving before school starts. The 5' tall mom laughs at how I will remain the shorty. My niece passed me too already. And lets not forget my pet peeve of the resort, only studios.

We much prefer 2 beds for long trips. No treehouse yet but I have issues with queen beds. I see it as liking to spread out. I'm equally as happy at SSR as I am BCV so not snobby. Just appreciate privacy lol

Now that our DDs have grown and flown, DH and I still get 1BR. Good thing for all of us that there are many types of units. We like a walk-in shower, separate living room, king bed and full kitchen.
I wake 4am-4:30a, Robin sleeps to 7am. I need a place to go without waking her.
I have a walk-in shower at home. Been that way for 23 years, this is what we are use to having.
We don't "need" a king bed, but it helps. Before Robin's accident 7 tears ago, a queen was all we needed if that. But since the accident, the way she has to position her hips and legs, the King just works better for us. And a side note, menopause "hot" flashes make having the extra space nice too at times.
As for the Kitchen, we don't cook meal in the room. But we don't get things delivered to the room for our stays - milk, creamer, waters, beer, fruit, etc. And we have our Kuerig in the Owners Locker.
As a bonus, those 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom are so quiet for sleeping, since there is a room separating us from the hallway noises.

We rented a GV at GCV for my Dad’s birthday in May. We ending up only having 5 of us, which meant my brother and SIL were the only ones who had to share both a bedroom and a bathroom. Both my SIL and my nephew thought it was the best trip ever and I think the extra space helped with that. So if you can afford it and it makes for a better vacation, room snob away!
