The adult pool was a very small Infinity Pool (sort of) up in the back by a private bar. There were hot tubs on the walk up there and tons of lounge chairs as well. Honestly it was packed and I wasn't going in there. My take is that this boat is really more for families, especially those with young kids. Now I'd love to go back with just my wife, but I expect that I'd still be avoiding that tiny pool. I didn't get the impression that anybody in there hammered was going to get out to go to the bathroom.
The pools on the main deck are small, and there are several of them. They make it so they an cover over them with boards and turn them into makeshift stages at night. Good and bad idea. Honestly I'm not much of a pool person so I didn't care. The dining rooms are all awesome and the food options up on the deck were really nice.
We didn't do any of the movies as we had only a 3 night cruise and didn't want to miss out on anything. Well, other than Nassau which we can see some other time. My wife got a massage that day and my son wanted to spend more time in the kids club.

We sailed on the Wish back in September just to try it out. We have been on 20 DCL cruises, the Dream twice, the Wonder 4 times, the Wish once and the Magic 13 times. We have never been on the Fantasy. Usually it's just my wife and I, both retired recently. On occasion, our daughter and her family travel with us. They have two daughters in their twenties, so we are all adults.
The Wish is a beautiful ship. Had we never been on any other ship, we would be extremely impressed. However, as mentioned previously, it's the preconceived notion. For the most part, things are done better on the other ships, probably because they have been doing them longer and have their processes in place. The other ships also have more experienced crew. The service is excellent as always. The food was very good. The layout of the ship is a bit different and the lack of a running track is annoying. There are any number of little issues that a first time cruiser wouldn't notice.
We are not drinkers, so I can't comment on the lounge areas, although they did seem very nice as we explored the ship. We also don't spend a lot of time in the "adult" area. We enjoy being out with the general populace. We have been in the Cove Cafe once in all of our cruises. We are not coffee people either. We thought the pool area was actually well done. The pools are tiered and so it seemed there was more room to disperse the crowds. The ship was fairly full when we sailed. The AquaMouse water ride was excellent. Well worth the wait.
The restaurants were a bit crowded in that the tables were real close together. The servers had a hard time squeezing in between them. The shows in the Arendelle and Marvel dining locations were very good. The Marcelline Market buffet has a lot of choices, some better than others. The Festival of Foods on the upper decks is more like a food court. This area has a very good selection of grab and go items.
The two banks of elevators seemed to do the trick, versus the 3 banks on the other ships. We never really had any wait time issues. We were on deck 7 midship, so we had to go up or down for everything.
We would go on the Wish again, but we are not big fans of the Caribbean. We live in Florida, so we like to sail to cooler locations, hence the 13 times on the Magic. We also don't care for shorter cruises and we never get off the ship anymore in the Bahamas. We did the Caribbean back in the early days of DCL, when they just had the Magic and Wonder based in Port Canaveral and they just did the 3, 4, and 7 night cruises. I suppose one could do a back to back on the Wish and get 7 nights in that way.
My wife and daughter get seasick, but they stop at Guest Services when they first board the ship and get whatever medication Disney offers.
Hope that helps. Let me know if I can answer any questions.

I am prone to sea sickness too and was really hoping the new technology in the stabilizers would be great but nope! During our cruise the ship still swayed a lot with the Captain reporting just 5 ft waves so needless to say, I remained medicated throughout the cruise. What medication did you use? I'm nervous about the motion sickness on our cruise, but I'm going with an open mind and hoping for the best! Can't wait! I take Bonine (OTC) - it's meclizine. I'm allergic to the patch that you can get prescribed from your doctor. Enjoy - you may become addicted. lol

I start the morning of our flight and continue throughout the entire vacation, even departing for home. Only once did I get “ sea legs” but having it onboard the day we get home usually does the trick. You can also find Meclazine in generic, but I have a hard time finding it, so I stick with Bonine or Walmart brand Meclazine.

The seasick medication from Guest Services is free. Now that is good to know! I wonder how many cruisers know that? Someone should start a thread “ Free On DCL”……thanks!

We just got back from a 4 day on the Wish, and had a blast. We went with 6 of us, and had 2 staterooms, with a combination of adults and kids. We've done other cruises, but only one other Disney, and that was 10+ years ago. I think that matters because we looked at the trip more independently than others. I don't have as much experience with other cruises, so I don't really compare the Wish to any others. The other thing I'd say is that everyone had a blast on the trip, but we really look for a combination of adult and child amenities. Our party is myself (50), DW (45), DS (23), our au pair (23), DD (8), DS(6). The kids LOVED their play areas, and we LOVED that they wanted to spend time in them so we hit some bars. DW loved the dining, the spa, the treatments, and all of the activities. The ship is just so brand new and gorgeous, everything really impresses. We had a date night in Enchante which was amazing, and I can't recommend getting a drink in the Rose enough. It would be amazing at any restaurant, but being on a ship just makes it even more so. I dug the adult bars, which *are* somewhat small and spread out, but that didn't bother me. I think they hit peak times immediately after each dining seating exits (or the big shows), but they empty well. We never had a hard time getting a seat. I was a big fan of how they're all different, have different vibes, music, seating, menu items, etc. DS (older) and our nanny had a night where they went to the steak house, and they liked it. They also commented that they found enough "older" things to do that it wasn't bad. I *will* say that our cruise was after the marathon weekend, so the demographics on the ship weren't typical. More than one crew member commented that there were more older (30+) and fewer younger (kids and 20-somethings) than normal. Our two commented that the clubs that would cater to them were pretty empty. DD and (younger) DS loved all the play areas, and I couldn't believe how many Character interactions there were. Everyone from the Fab 5 to Smee and Capt Hook, to the princesses, Chip and Dale, etc. It reminded me of back in the day when you could run into them in the parks. They love the pools and the aquamouse, but in January it was a bit too chilly for everyone. Our two stops were Bahamas and Castaway, which I was less than overwhelmed by. I like to do things on our stops (Chichen Itza, tours, ziplining, etc), and these ended up being basically 2 beach days. This is standard on 4 days, and we knew that going in. Not the Wish's fault, but just a thought for any that look at booking a trip. I get bored easily though, so YMMV. DW and the kids enjoyed them. I'd have to agree with someone that posted that the dining rooms are a bit tight. If I had one complaint, this would be it. Food was great, service was outstanding, but the feel of the rooms is somewhat diminished by being packed so tightly together. We loved all 3 dining rooms, I just wish we had a bit more space. If I had to sum it up, I'd say: Disney offers a 10% discount on future bookings within 24 months if you put a $250 refundable deposit down before you leave the ship. We put down $500 to lock in two staterooms, and are already looking at the 2024 7 day sailing schedules.

We sailed on The Wish in November. It was a short three-night cruise that we did only to check out the new ship. We are platinum cruisers and have sailed all five ships now. The Magic is our favorite, but that did not take away from our enjoyment of The Wish. I would sail again if the itinerary was appealing. Most of the time, the itinerary is how we choose our Disney cruises, because we enjoy all of the ships. I am not a big drinker, but I really like how the lounges are spread out throughout the ship. I also like that the adult area is at the way back of the trip. No accidental kids walking through Before we sailed, I read some negative reviews and I was worried. I feel that seeing those reviews could make someone more critical, so I might suggest to avoid them until after cruising. We had a great time on the Wish and would sail again, with the right itinerary.

So far the Wish has not been included in any discounts, but that may change next year. Thanks for your review!

We have a Wish cruise booked at the end of January. First cruise for us because I deal with pretty severe motion sickness, but we decided to try a 3 night trip to the Bahamas. The info I've read says there is definitely attention paid to the adult guests and their needs. I'm hoping this turns out to be a new favorite vacation! I have motion sickness and didn't cruise for a while because the first time I did I was miserable. However, Robin (of TomandRobin) suggested the behind the ear patch. This has changed my life and I am able to cruise with no side effects at all now.

We sailed on the Wish in October and we'll be sailing on Wish again on March 3. It is a beautiful ship. We loved the infinity pool in the adult area (not that I entered it but it made for a nice view - LOL). For us the adult areas was a plus because it was located aft and we always get an extended veranda cabin in the aft of the ship so it was nice to just go straight up. The sound management is much better. The other ships the family areas are quite LOUD but the Wish seems to have fixed this problem. The Wish was the first ship I've been able to enjoy the Funnel Vision because the noise level was so much better (DH loves FV). The elevator situation didn't really bother us. Every DCL cruise we've been on the elevators have been incredibly slow and even though the number available has doubled the slowness continues. We did find the Wish very smooth sailing - hardly a rumble even in the aft - and we thought the food in the restaurants, plus the buffet area, were better than all the other ships. The only level to walk outside around the ship was the 12th ? floor. The stores and spa areas seemed more closed off but we don't usually bother with them now (been there - done that). The movie theaters were small but I think there was a total of 12 people so it wasn't an issue. We enjoyed the theater. DH said all the new theaters are made that size now. IDK, it was the first movie I've been to in like 5 years.
