I don't know that I've ever seen a mention of you working concerts. I worked for Clear Channel (now Live Nation) as a local runner for a few years. Someday maybe we can meet up @ WDW and swap stories. I worked for Bill Graham Presents (and Bill, briefly), which was eventually bought by SFX -> Clear Channel -> Live Nation. I worked from about '89 - '05 (so I guess it was more like 16 years) and 1500 or so shows. I worked out the crowds, and occasionally backstage. But all lower key than running. That always seemed hard compared to what I was doing.
But, yes, that would be great to talk to someone who did this in a different setting.
Cheers.
Running was sometimes a lot of work, and other times we just sat around a lot, or wandered around the crowd watching the show. I worked from about 1999 - 2002 or so. It got to be too much effort for the $150 they paid. They made us re apply with a 5 page form every year for some reason.

Is this the part where we do our "the time we upgraded from studios" confessional? If that is the case, when we went in 2022 we had to burn points (extra from covid times) so I told wife we were just going to have to stay in one-bedroom. It is just the two of us so it seemed kind of stupid. Well, no going back hee hee! Now I'm going to need more points.

Pretty dang reasonable. Maybe I missed it, but will these cabins not actually have any "deluxe" amenities. I mean, it's opening in less than 6 months so are they just refurbing these cabins and the facilities will be "as is?"

But it was a very boxy pool and not much else. On Facebook except for a goober who thinks it has only a hot plate and a microwave, most are excited it seems. They love the points. Not sure they care about the rest tbh

Maybe, for most, it really does come down to the greatest capacity for the least number of points.

If you ever want a lesson and patience, moderate of the huge Facebook group LOL There are quite a number of people in this group who I know will have to be representative of a decent portion of owners who really do not have enough points to stay at anything beyond studios. The jump up to a one bedroom is too much even for them. Given that these are about like Polynesian or Grand Floridian points, they might still be too rich for some, but still more attainable than a 1 bed at most places. I personally would rather a washer over a completely full kitchen, but that's me. I can survive with toasters and microwaves as long as I have a real refrigerator.

I believe most have just enough points for a studio. That's exactly why the Poly and CCV cabins create problems - the majority don't have enough points for these units (or don't want to spend that many points), but the process assumes a fairly equal distribution of points. I love the full-sized fridge. Like you, I can get by with a microwave. And . . . no thanks on moderating a Facebook page on any kind. You must have a 10 out of 10 on the patience scale!

Since our trips are typically 4 nights and we do make breakfast, the kitchen is more important than the washer/dryer. Of course, having both is nice
Cheers.

A lot of the Polynesian owners don't even have enough points for the studios there. I'm not joking either! I was floored when I realized this was not uncommon with PVB owners. Kind of crazy! Truthfully with all the other rooms that have been added the cabins and Bungalows are such a teeny percentage now that they are not making as big of a difference as people think. I do really believe that a lot of Polynesian owners are fighting for studios elsewhere which is causing issues more at 7 months. Fortunately I have zero issues booking almost any time at 7 months even at Polynesian with my okw points. Though I wonder how long I'm going to hang on to those... My patients cracked today with goober face. I showed an artist rendering of the kitchen area as well as having text from the DVC website and he still came to argue that the kitchens were only hot plates in microwaves I even called him out asking why he felt like he needed to be this argumentative on something he's just wrong on while adding another screenshot of wording. If he continues I swear that guy's muted. I personally would rather a washer over a completely full kitchen, but that's me. I can survive with toasters and microwaves as long as I have a real refrigerator. Since our trips are typically 4 nights and we do make breakfast, the kitchen is more important than the washer/dryer. Of course, having both is nice Cheers. My breakfasts are usually cold or at most just toasted. So if I have a toaster or a microwave and a fridge I'm golden. Breakfast is actually the one meal I skipped the most too as I am often not hugely hungry for several hours after waking up. I personally just like to come home with clean clothes. It's so much easier to toss it into the wash and not worry about it then coming back home and having mounds of laundry. Keep in mind I have a kid who wears a lot of clothes.

I tried to send an earlier reply, but I am not sure if it went through...
When might people be able to move over from an existing reservation to this location? How does that work when a new DVC location comes into the mix?
