Guys, while we are platnium DCL cruisers now, we have never done a DVC Cruise on DCL.
Do they always sell out? If not, what do they do with the excess rooms? Do those become open for the public?
I ask this because in 2024 the Cruise right after the TA is the DVC cruise and the cost of that cruise is running almost double what this years non DVC cruise out of Barcelona is costing. Will the Dream, a large ship, sell out in Europe for the DVC Cruise?

Nearly all DVC Member Cruises have sold out (typically on booking day). Since DVC charters the entire ship, staterooms can only be booked through DVC. The DVC Member Cruises that happened after the covid restart had (I believe) some available open up, but those staterooms could only be booked through DVC.

The Members cruise use to sell out same day as sales opened. But that changed a few years ago when they changed to the larger ships. The cost is a lot more, but there are seminars and stuff added to the cruise, that are not on regular cruises. Is it worth the upcharge? Well, in my opinion I think it was fun to experience once. We had a blast on ours and made some life long friends.
These cruises are charter only. They will sell out and are for DVC "card carrying" members. Even though these are chartered cruises, they still count towards your DCL status. No travel agent discounts. No travel agent bookings.

It looks like the immediate trip after this years TA arriving in Barcelona is going to be only about 2/3rds full which makes since since kids likely not out of school yet. By doing DVC I bet they get higher than that next year and even if not, the DVC cost is higher
