So we won't be back at Disney for a few months (we just got back last week). Should I purchase the APs now or can I wait a few months as we get closer to our next trip? My concern would be that they stop offering them or announce that they have sold the maximum number for the year or something like that. I have never purchased APs before. If you can purchase now go for it. My concern would be selling out too.

If you know you’re going back in a few months and are anxious about it I would go ahead and get one. It won’t activate until you use it.

I'm buying ours right away rather than renew and have the chance they sell out. We have May, Sept and Dec trips booked for our current pass which expires right after our Sept trip. With renewing we get 3 trips. New AP we get 4 trips so worth the extra $100 for the 4th trip if we activate in Dec.

You can make park reservations with the voucher too. And you don't have to activate it right away either

Thanks - that's sort of what I figured. DVC is attached to my Account; it doesn't seem to be to DHs (we never bothered to get him a DVC login, since I manage all the points). But I'm assuming I should be able to buy for both of us (our trip last month I bought all the tickets from Undercover Tourist and was then able to attach them to everyone else, since I'm listed as managing their plans). Hope it works out like I'm thinking! I think you might have to get him set up to be able to buy one for him. I believe you have to specify an MDE account for each AP when you buy now. But if that’s the case you can call Member Services and get him set up and still have time to buy his AP before general sales start next week.

The email said no earlier than 6am eastern time today. I was able to add to the cart, but it keeps timing out when I try to checkout

I’m having the same problem. Wasn’t sure if it was the awful Wi-Fi signal here at Hilton Head.

at least we aren't alone?
i'm not sure if i would rather it be that it's just not open yet but we'll have to keep trying for an hour or two. or that there are that many people on and we just have to keep refreshing.

Same problem. Timed out the first time I tried it, now it says there was an error - you can remove all items or try again later. I removed and re added, but I still get an error. Typical first day IT errors for Disney.
