Hello all. First Thanks to the Admin Crew of Magicowners.com for approving this idea. Truly appreciated. I am henrycpa but real name is Jamie. I have 2 chidlren but one is now almost 30 so not sure that qualifies me for this Group so will go with the 2nd who is now 15. She was 9 months when I became a Mouse Owner Dad (#72) so think she still qualifies me as a Magic Owner Dad. We live in VA, have 5 DVC Contracts at 4 resorts and my Daughter now hopes to work at Disney one day. For any new DVD Dads feel free to ask a question. It was nice dads at the other site that helped me a lot. Time to pay it forward. If anyone knows how to use the Adobe Illustrator feel free to take the attached JPG file and edit it. I guess since I am post 1 I will take Magic Owner Dad #1 moniker. 2nd post will be Magic Owner Datd #2 and so on and so on. Former MOD's please speak up and add on here. MOD Squad.....Such fun, back in the day.
I believe the group was started by Bob Topich. Bob is still around, but he no longer posts on the forums. I do not recall my Mod Squad number. I think I still have my shirt.

When it started, it was a fun group. I also can’t remember my number, but think it was in the 70s. It stayed active for a while, but then kinda fizzled out. It’d be cool if it got active again.

I joined Mouseowners because of the MOD Squad. I was reading it and came across a few posts of the frog…… I can’t remember his name just now but he had pictures of him and I think his kids trap shooting. I thought if he can do that (I’m into guns, hunting fishing and such) and he can be a Disney geek, I’ll give it a shot too.

Hey Jaime, thanks for posting. I joined MO back in 2009 but I don’t recall a MOD group. I’ve got 3 kids, DS18, DD15 and DS14. Eldest will be off to college in the fall. He has a few great choices. Today I’m hoping he picks UC Irvine which is only about 20 minutes from Disneyland. Im sure I would make good use of all my VGC points when visiting him. Glad we have been able to use our DVC points while they were young. Lots of great memories.

I think I still have my shirt. My daughter is 32 and a CM but I guess once a MOD always a MOD, I'll have to see if I can dig up my MOD gif somewhere. I had forgotten about the shirts but I am afraid mine has probably been repurposed as a dust rag a long time ago. |

My name is Daniel I joined Mouse Owners in 2010 and am happy that it has continued here. I never heard about the MOD group there but I qualify thanks to my 8 year old son and 3 year old daughter. Both of which can't wait for our trip to Disneyland in 16 days and then Disneyworld in October for Halloween.

He was legendary. Ironically, he is the reason I joined MouseOwners way, way back in the beginning. I was a regular on the Dis and really enjoyed reading Greenban's posts. He got into a disagreement with WebmasterDoc and got banned. I was able to track him down and found him on MO, which I didn't know existed back then.
I lost touch with him after the tragedy in his family. He was sorely missed.....he had a gift.

Wish I had been able to meet him in person, from all you’ve said truly sounds like a good guy. Of course glad it was his posts that made both of us join MouseOwners. Kidless here of course so I’ll gladly continue observing from afar, ha. |

MOD Resurrection - love it. I'm one of the old guys as well. I'll have to confirm with my shirt, but I'm pretty sure that I was MOD 15, part of the very first set as it launched. Of course, life is very different now. Had two toddler girls at the time, with a son on the way. Now my oldest is graduating from high school and our youngest is finishing 8th grade. We had a long stretch of trips 1-2 times per year starting back in 2007, but life and cost have slowed that pace. We're headed back this summer, but I think 2024 will be the first calendar year since 2007 that we will not visit a Disney park!

I had no idea about the family tragedy. I am so sorry to hear that. As I recall he was a physician and I thought he was moving towards retirement so had always assumed he disappeared because of retirement. |
