I have always called MS to renew my DVC Gold Pass now known as the Sorcerer Pass. Now, you call them, they go through all the questions, and then they transfer you to a different department. Before I was transferred, I asked the CM why she couldn’t do it because in the past the person you got on the phone at MS handled it. She said a different department handles it now, and they have to transfer you after verifying you’re eligible for the Sorcerer Pass. I’ve been on hold over 30 minutes waiting on this special department who handles it now. Just wanted to warn everyone.

Been this way for a while now. The renewal will no longer be in voucher form and doesn't need to be activated to use. Make sure you check your expiration date in MDE to ensure it's one year after your current passes expiration date.

I think I renewed theirs back in November maybe. I did find out after going to GS to activate DS's pass that you no longer need to do that to activate.

Can't you renew online? There's a link, tho it says mine aren't eligible yet.

I called for DH’s and it took 45 minutes total. I renewed mine in person and it took less than 5 minutes at IG at Epcot. DH doesn’t have a new card and I am not sure he needs one or not.
it’s nice that they don’t have to be activated now though. Both went right on MDE. Now I have to make sure I use the right one when I make park reservations.

I had my kid carry his too just to make it easier for him when I wasn't around. I renew on Thursday and plan to only pick up one card. No need for extras. My spouse always loses his too.

Yes, his is in his wallet with dvc. We are normally together so I won’t worry about it.

Pretty sure the spouse will go card free here lol. Kid? I dunno yet. Not looking forward to Thursday. I wish I could renew in person. Wish they'd let me early by a couple weeks but whatever. I'm about Disneyed out with calling since 60 days was on the 1st

I have reminders set - a lot this week we have health class (online summer course to avoid having to fit it in the fall) tomorrow. Fun fun.

I renewed my annual pass last Saturday. I called around 10am and got through right away to member services. Once I finished with her, I was transferred to another CM for the annual pass. No wait time at all. It was a very smooth process and she also made sure I could see the annual pass in MDE before we hung up.
I did confirm the expiration date of the new pass with her, but it is not showing up in MDE. The CM said sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I'll just have to check it after it's activated. Last year DH's was set to the wrong date. They used the purchase date as the starting date, not the expiration date of his old pass. I didn't realize it at first, but I called after our trip when I noticed it and it was fixed very quickly.

I did renew this morning, and there are no dates showing for the new AP’s. I’ll keep an eye on it once we go in a few months to make sure it updates correctly.

I renewed mine a week ago. I called at 9:00 am (opening time) and was done in about 15 minutes. What I especially like about this new system is that hopefully I will remain on the AP mailing list all year round now. In the past I would drop off for several months after my old pass expired and before activating the new one. I missed quite a few mailings because of that, including some magnets.
