Deadpool & Wolverine. Ryan Reynolds can do no wrong. And Hugh Jackman, well, 'nuff said. This film is brilliant, funny and rude. Everything you'd expect from Deadpool. The references to the fact that it is a movie, to Disney, Fox, Marvel are great as are the cameos. Cheers. So great!! I"m tempted to go back and see it again! Hard to catch all the jokes/references with just one showing.

I just read that Disney is home to more than half of the 55 films that have made over $1B. So they do know how to make this work. And a couple of films this year have had good results.
Seems that, with Planet of the Apes and now the new Alien, they have 4 hits in a row with Moana:2 slated to be number 5. And a 42% box office market share.
Cheers.

Hmm - watched the first episode. They managed to make quirky characters pretty boring.....I hope it improves but it doesn't sound promising, So, two episodes in, we liken this season. Not because it's coherent or follows any story line, but because it's just funny. Klaus, 5 and Lila are fabulous. The rest are OK. But they carry the show.
Cheers.

We finished the season. It was ok. But I agree: Klaus and 5 were always my favorites. Lila grew on me.

Disney cancels Acolyte.....No season 2.
I am not surprised.....As much as Disney tried hard to spin and sell the series, it sucked. As a Stars Wars fan, I happy this show is gone. The series had so many holes and took too many liberties with Disney lore, almost as if they were trying to destroy Star Wars. Kennedy has to go , just like Iger, her time should have been over at Disney years ago.

I too am looking forward to the new season of 'Slow Horses'. On 8/23, the new season of 'Pachinko' hits Apple+. Looking forward to that as well. Apple+ really has some great shows. I also want to check out the new Matt Damon movie on there and in Nov, a new season of 'Bad Sisters'. I had heard good things about 'Bodkin' on Netflix so I downloaded that to watch on our flights to/from our cruise but I'm not that into it. But I am looking forward to a new season of 'The Diplomat'. I am also enjoying 'Hotel Portofino' on PBS.

I’m going the old movie route rather than new ones. Russell Crowe was on Joe Rogan talking about Cinderella Man. What an awesome movie I had forgot about. Gonna look that up this weekend. Also caught the tail end of Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner where Spencer Tracy being in his awesomeness. What a great actor!. Going to watch the whole thing from the start.

DW and I rented "Twisters" last night on Prime. We made it through 15 to 20 minutes and turned it off, just boring. We saw the first Twister movie which was good but this was just a remake with no star power. Save your money.

Just in case there is anyone here that is speaking the same language as me and any of the following words make sense to you, I just watched a YouTube with James May getting shown around Jay Leno's garage. 19 minutes. Wife asked me how it was; I said, "I'm going to watch that again!"

Only Murders in the Building season 4 now out on Hulu. Still wrapping up “ The Outsiders”. Lots of good, older movies on Tubi. Was kind of disappointed in “ The Beekeeper “.
