If I ever visit San Francisco I want to visit more museums . I found out about the history of computer museum on last day . Is tech museum the same place? These are different museums. The Tech is in downtown San Jose, which is an interesting place to visit. very hands-on and generalized tech. The Computer History museum is in Mountain View. This was formerly Sun Microsystems, and may have been Silicon Graphics as well (I lived just down the street from this when both were present and don't recall which was which). Right in the heart of several massive Google buildings. And right next to a newish Microsoft campus. Also wortth a visit.
Cheers.

Watching the new “ Haunted Mansion” movie released today on Disney+. I don’t care for the story line. The comedy is rather mediocre IMO. Another epic fail.

I'd consider "epic fail" to be somewhat hyperbolic here. It was not a great film, by any means, but it was amusing. Hardly qualifying as "epic fail."
Cheers.

I saw that movie twice at AMC just to enjoy it twice and really need to find time to watch it on Disney+… I admit I never saw any of the other HM Movies but the introduction of each character and the New Orleans aspect of it along with the music … and the architectural history and the secret rooms above and below and inside … It only adds to the fun I anticipate the next time I enter the HM at WDW . I plan to use my imagination and pretend I know how to enter the secret seance room … I hope the ghosts don’t haunt you in your dreams because they might not Welcome You back the next time you “visit”

Maybe epic fail was a little harsh, but I am tired of the really poor quality of movies being released. Each time a new one comes out I get my hopes up thinking this one will be different. I would never chance it and spend money at the theaters. Still waiting for Oppenheimer.

Seeing the Haunted Mansion movie is not high on my list, I did not see the first HM movie. But if I get he chance, I might download it to watch on an upcoming flight.

I did find Haunted Mansion to be worth that but really, just barely. For a higher price, it would have been a wait and watch.
Oppenheimer really does benefit from the big screen.
Cheers.

When I was a teen, about a mile from our house was a second-run theater showing movies for $1.50. My sister and I would go see anything and everything, often being just about the only ones in there. I recall seeing something REALLY bad one time, can't remember what it was though...but we were the only two in an empty theater and so it was almost like our own private Mystery Science Theater 3000. Well, except I'm not as funny as Joel and his friends.

I still remember seeing BYE BYE BIRDIE with Ann-Margret , at one of those local theatres a very long time ago
I did learn an important lesson.. Always see the Opening Weekend Release on the best screen usually because they get moved out for next release… Unfortunately I just saw A Haunting In Venice at the Disney Springs AMC smaller dine in theatre choice and felt like I was sitting in a dark box… but really recommend seeing it again …Not sure who will release it.
Sometimes the latest releases are for a limited time on Disney+ , etc and sometimes a long wait for them to show up or return . But I will always go to see a movie at the Movies but I understand the decision to wait and watch from home if you’re not particular and you have family members that will not randomly flip on their I- phone or go to the bathroom or whatever ! Like fall asleep …

We tried Peacock for a little bit, thought it was dumb, so cancelled. They sent me an offer for 1.99/month for six months, and shortly thereafter all three episodes of "The Continental" were on there, from the John Wick universe. Watched it this weekend and had a good time. It's set in the '70s and I thought the music was well done.
Time will tell how long we keep Peacock; at 1.99 she has found a show or two to watch.

If you are into car racing, Peacock is a good one to have. We watch IMSA there. I think I’ve seen some Indy also

Thoroughly enjoying “The Upshaws” with Wanda Sykes on Netflix.
Getting ready to watch the Fall of the House of Usher. Doesn’t appear to be anything like I watched in the 70’s starring Vincent Price. Hope I can get through it.
