About an hour ago I got an email from DVC with the subject line of Trip Cancellation Notification. Panic. I didn't cancel anything. Who hacked my account?!?!?
I logged into DVC and saw that our July/August waitlist was fulfilled, thus the cancellation (of the original resort) email.
What a strange way to notify me that we're now at BWV.

It happened to me yesterday! Scared the crap out of me as I thought it was for a summer trip and not for fall. I've never had that happen that way before. Normally I just get a "We can't wait to welcome you...."
I did get that about 30 minutes later but yeah got me too.

At least going to the email I could see which one it was for and then I remembered. I put in another wait list for same trip, so if it comes through I will at least remember it.

Same thing here on our waitlist for Beach Club next month. Saw "trip cancelled " but next email was " welcome home " to Beach Club. Panic was short lived.

Yes, this seems to be the new practice now, advising when they change the original reservation to the updated one. I have had this several times recently. I had to have help from a CM with one of my changes and she advised me that I would see a cancellation notice before getting the updated confirmation. Even with knowing this, I did a deep inhale when I got the cancellation email.

I know! I have never received a notification. In fact, I generally find the vacancy before they process the waitlist.

We made two reservations for October '23 and only received an email for the first one confirming the reservation. I just waitlisted the 2nd stay and did not received a confirmation of the waitlist.

Same thing happened to me, but when they were merging a reservation. Super scary!
