No - not at that number! My sons are on the two contracts, so if they wanted them, they could decide

150.00 per point - hmm people are basically paying that on resale. I would have to say that I would have to think about it. that would be a 2062 expiration date. I probably would have expired by then - but it would be my kids who will only be in their 60's so not sure its worth it.

If the points required remained the same as today, and the offer was this year-ish, then maybe.

At $150 for only 20 years we would probably be out but since we will be in our mid 80s in 2042 it would be a decision for our daughter to make.

I have waited to chime back in.
I came up with the amount of $150 in that current resorts going to 2062 are selling for $212 I believe. So I do not think Disney would let you extend to same amount unless the price was at least equal to resale since they would have all the Disney Perks.
In 2062 I will be 98 and Jodi 93. But I know BWV and BCV area is where we would choose to stay if we did not have ability to use points elsewhere or were the only points we owned.
So I ask myself, at 200 BWV points, would I be willing to pay $30000 to get a total of 48 more years. That is on top of what I have already paid (lucky because we got in at $65 a point all in). I do not know the answer. Honestly, it would depend on my retirement savings at the time.

for an additional 20 years to 2062 Would you be willing to pay $150 per point to do so? That's a tough decision. It's a lot of money and we'll be in our 80's when our BWV point expire in 2042. I would like to still be going to Disney then, but who knows. Maybe for our kids/grandkids, if we could afford it. We did raise Boardwalk snobs.

No. I’m sorry to say that by 2062 we will be long gone.

I would def be interested… at half that price. $50/point and I would buy today.

Not for us - especially at that price.

At this point, we plan to keep our BWV to the end...and we'll be 80 at that time. I definitely wouldn't pay $150/point. If something reasonable, I may consider it, giving it my kids and grandkids. At this point, I know either/both of them would love to have the points.

Because I was not involved with the earlier DVC extensions, I am ignorant about an issue that seems relevant, aside from the simple purchase price per point. DVC would appear to be able to do refurbishment before, after, or both before and after the expiration date. What do we know, or assume, about the annual maintenance fees when the expiration boundary is passed? Do they get reset, held constant for a period, or increased to back-load the amount not charged in the renewals or new sales, post extension? Do renewing owners get any short or long-term break on such fees relative to new purchasers, etc.? As I said, I am ignorant of any relevant history or timeshare law relevant to this issue, so these queries may belong in the "ask a stupid question" thread.

We own OKW, we love vacationing at OKW. We will be 65 and 66 years old when OKW expires, still young enough to want to keep going. But maybe old enough that by then we would at Margaritaville or something.
If they sent me an email today saying "OKW owners extend your contract" I would definitely be considering it, but not at the $150/pt number being thrown around...that's crazy talk. I wish I could go back in time and give the (then current) owners of my contracts the menial amount of money it would have taken to extend our OKW contracts. Was it really $15?

Probably not for us as we'd be in our middle 80's, but if we were younger.... Caveat, if the kids wanted us to extend to have the home advantage and the cost was acceptable (says the person who purchased 30 points in 2018 at $225/pt)....
