bwvBound Just wondering since you like worship music. How about Jars of Clay? Michael W. Smith?

Love pretty much every style of music from Disturbed to Frank Sinatra. A few that come to mind that will get turned up a little louder: Triumph Train Queen Cars Tom Petty and Heatbreakers Scorpions Cindy Lauper Hootie and the Blowfish Metallica Aerosmith Styx Wow you do have some extremes! But that’s good! Our parents made us listen to Johnny Cash 24/7. Never converted me but I do have an appreciation!

Enjoy lots of different music…classic rock being my fave. Was fortunate to see the Beatles in Atlantic City. My dad took me, my older sister and her friend. I spent most of the concert on my dad’s lap. Heard mostly the screams of young girls. And, I swear Paul waved to me. Will never forget the experience. Agreed you will never forget that one! Lucky you!

Maybe the most underrated guitarist I can think of (I'll include Elliot Easton and Neal Giraldo on that list). I saw Mudcrutch, maybe 2017, and he had much more freedom to just play compared with his already stellar playing on TP&tHB songs. Wow, I so don't like Spider Giraldo. He is just too full of himself. They actually bill themselves as "Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo." it's "Pat Benatar and her husband, who happens to be a pretty good guitar player."
(Side note: apparently Spider was the first person to play guitar on MTV as the first song "Video Killed the Radio star" does not have a guitar, and Benatar was the second song.)
We saw Mudcrutch in 2008 and very much enjoyed it. I've seen TP & HB 17 times, some being acoustic at Neil Young's Bridge Benefit concert. I very much enjoy Campbell's playing and very mush looking forward to this show. At an old classic theatre in Monterey.
Cheers.
I recently saw a documentary on Pat Benatar with her husband. Hey they are still kickin it!!She is an icon. Acoustic Neil Young…….

I Like just about everything, classic rock of the 60's and 70's, a cappella like Home Free, Standards such as Frank Sinatra, country like Kenny Chesney, classical and movie scores from the likes of John Williams and Hans Zimmer. 3 favorite songs that I could put on a loop and listen to all day long: "Almost Cut My Hair"- David Crosby (CSN) "Angel From Montgomery" John Prine but the Bonnie Raitt & John Prine version is the best "A Pirate Looks at Forty" Jimmy Buffett, although the Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews cover is probably the better version
Just have to edit to add: Cinnamon Girl - Neil Young Some call it Paradise - Eagles "Ol' '55" -Tom Waits, Best version is by the Eagles- a great song to put on and crank up starting any early morning drive in SoCal.

"A Pirate Looks at Forty" Jimmy Buffett, although the Jack Johnson, Dave Matthews cover is probably the better version Sometimes, though, when he goes "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed" and the audience cheers, I just wanna be like "come on man, whatever." And the original has a nice element of melancholy that I enjoy. But I do also like the cover and it's on a cd in one of my cars right now.

I haven't listened regularly to music since I was sent home in March 2020 as my music personality is dependent on listening to the car FM radio. Yeah, I'm that cheap. LOL Good News: driving 40 minutes on the turnpike coming home from babysitting is resurrecting my music personality. Country 92.5 XTU & some rock station (John D? show).

I'm afraid much of my music taste got stuck in my high school/college/early adulthood days. Given that I'm currently 60 years old, that means mostly stuff from the 70's and 80's.
Favorites are a bit eclectic: Styx Queen Cars Neil Diamond Billy Joel Elton John Tommy James Moody Blues Abba
Also love music from stage shows - but because I haven't had as much ability to attend shows in the last few decades as I did when I was younger, my knowledge and favorites from this category are also a bit dated. Les Miserables Chess Evita Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor DreamCoat Sunday in the Park with George Song and Dance
My go-to radio station when in the car is the local 'classic rock' station.
I certainly enjoy much of today's music as well, but just don't listen enough to really have favorites or even know who sings what for the most part.

Only now am I really able to put that music on a lot of the day since I am retired. I do love all facets of music, but still gravitate to my 70’s days. I have a real appreciation for Gregorian Chant where I can really separate for a while.
Thanks for those sharing.

Grateful Dead, Phish, Widespread Panic and a whole lot of Disney music get played in this house. I was lucky enough to have gotten to see Jerry Garcia play his guitar 247 times. Phish and Panic I’ve seen at least a 100 times each but lost count years ago. It’s an obsession but it’s pleasing. Kind of like Disney!

I saw the Dead (real Dead, with Jerry) 89 times and Jerry/Jerry Band another 9 times. Definitely an experience. Definitely fewer Phish and Widespread Panic. Some string Cheese and Dave Matthews. won't even bother with Dead incarnations now.
Cheers.
