Has anyone in here used the newer bus services from MCO to their resort? I’ve been researching Sunshine Flyer and Mears, but would like any comments or suggestions.
Thanks, Carl

We did mears for 2 of us, $32 one way. We fly southwest and are on the wrong side of the terminal claiming bags. We have to schlep them back to the other side and down the long hallway. Wait for the bus was almost half an hour. Stop at 3 resorts before we got to ours. Since then we have done uber/left for around an extra $10. We get our bags, walk out the nearest door and book the ride which is there in about 5 min. Worth the extra $10 all day. We also did an uber xl for 4 of us for about the same price as the bus would have cost.

I'm ok with a bus for WDW to MCO, but on our arrival day I don't want any wasted time. To answer the OP, I've seen mixed comments about both companies.

We usually Uber but Sunshine is doing a promotion of $12/one way so we are trying them out in a few weeks.

We get a car. This was we can do our shopping on the way in and last trip we went to an awesome pizza place offsite. Also, we drive to AK. we can walk to DHS and Epcot, and we don't go to MK every trip.
Cheers.

We usually Uber but Sunshine is doing a promotion of $12/one way so we are trying them out in a few weeks. We saw that promotion, that’s what got us interested in it. We fly JetBlue into Terminal C, so I’m not sure what kind of pita it’d be to grab our luggage and haul it all the way to their location in Terminal B. This is our 1st trip since Magical Express ended, so we’re trying to figure it out. Before Magical Express, we used Tiffany Town Car, but that $12 Sunshine Flyer promotion is appealing.

Mears is who ran DME and honestly we had enough issues with them taking about 3 hours to get us to the resort. After that we never did it again. If it's a solo or mom and son only trip without renting I use Tiffany Towncar (more because they help more with luggage for me). Otherwise I just use Uber/Lyft.

DW and I used Mears in November. We fly Southwest also so it's a bit of a pita to cross to the other terminal with luggage. Once there we only waited about 5 minutes before getting on the bus. We stayed at OKW and were the second stop. No worse than Magical Express timewise but I think it's just a matter of timing. I really do miss Disney taking care of the luggage though. We're looking at Sunshine Flyer for April just because we'll have our DD, DSiL, and DGSs with us.

Sister used Sunshine. She waited outdoors in the heat for over an hour. She was going to BLT so when the Contemporary bus started to get filled she asked why they weren’t calling her. They told her she had to wait for the BLT bus. When she informed them that Contemporary and BLT are the same location, she said they seemed confused and surprised. Still had to insist that she wasn’t waiting any longer in the sun when there was room on that bus. They finally let her on. Son used Mears. Lines are inside and no issues.

Last we used Sunshine Flyer. They were brand new and only had a few busses. We waited A LONG time to board. The buss went to EVERY resort. They are running a $12/person special right now. I would try them again for that price. If the wait continues to be long, I will go with Mears. ( Disclaimer we have never Ubered. )

This is almost exactly what I was going to say except that we used Sunshine Flyer and we haven't been back yet but we decided we won't use the bus services again and that we will Uber or Lyft. It's absolutely worth the little bit extra money!

Haven’t tried any bus services yet. We only used Magical Express, if needed, on the return. We do miss the luggage service though. Being from the west, and already devoting a day to travel (with time change), there is no appetite for waiting around and enduring multiple resort stops. Depending on where we are staying and for how long, we will either use a car service or rent a car. We have had great luck in finding a deal that suits our needs over our last few trips.

We have used both Mears and Sunshine Flyer. Have had better experiences with Mears thus far. I am thinking of trying private car service for our next trip in April.
