Hi everyone. I’m Heather from the Philly suburbs in PA. I had a different username on MO but took the chance to change since it was also my email address. 🙂 I’m a single, childless Disney adult (is that really a negative now) and have been a DVC member since 2003. My home resorts are SSR and BLT and I love them both. I’m In Disney at least twice a year but took a break in 2019 due to the 20th Member Cruise and too many walls. Thanks to COVID, that break was over 2 years. In real life, I’ve been WFH since pre-COVID and am lucky to have plenty of vacation days since I’m been with my company forever working with IT projects from the business side. I was a regular lurker since 2008 on the old site and promise to try to be better here. I will definitely be a regular “like”er. Thanks to everyone who worked to put this together. “WE ARE”!….A shout out from another PA resident PENN STATE!!

Hi all, Jawfish here aka Lisa. Same handle and avatar from MO to make it simple. We bought into DVC in 2015 at PVB and try to visit DW twice a year or more. My favorite ride is Flight of Paasage. The mouse house is where I come to unplug. My first visit to DW was in 1971 with my Dad at just 4 years old. It truly is my happy place.

Hello everyone, and special thanks to the originators of MO for many wonderful years and to the creators of this fantastic new magicowners site! I'm Linda from PA, and I have pretty much been a lifelong Disney fan ... I'll list just a few of my memories and highlights by the decades: 1950's: a Christmas gift, which was a puzzle of a scene from Lady and the Tramp, ignited my love and appreciation for the beauty of Disney artwork and animation 1960's: Enjoyed The Wonderful World of Color and saw my first Disney film at the movies, Mary Poppins (started my love of Disney music) 1970's: Led our high school marching band down Main Street USA in June of 1973 and we performed for a crowd in front of the Castle 1980's: First trip as a family of 3, stayed offsite at Wilson World 1990's: With other teachers, started a Disney YES educational field trip at the school where we taught, and chaperoned student trips to Disneyworld and Kennedy Space Center for the next 15 years 2000's: Purchased DVC Old Key West resale; have since done some buying/selling, and our Homes-Away-From-Home are now BWV, AKV, and SSR. 2010's: Both sons proposed to their future wives while on Disney trips (one proposal was in front of Cinderella Castle, the other during dinner at Victoria and Albert's), and we have enjoyed many memorable trips as a family of 6 2020's: Who knows? Perhaps a trip during this decade will include a new little Mouseketeer... whatever this decade brings, my husband and I are now enjoying retirement and traveling to Disneyworld several times a year!

Hi there everyone. So glad to see so many names from MO and new names as well. My real name is Joey and my wife’s name is Lisa, which is where Joeli comes from. We are older parents that grew up, lived, and worked in New York City, Queens, Long Island and Westchester. I have also lived in Houston, Texas for about 12 years. I have been in IT since I graduated college in NY, and used to travel all over the country for work doing consulting for law firms. My wife and I have DS9 and DS6, that we are raising to be good humans. We have them in cub scouts, which will hopefully help with that.
My first experience with Disney was watching a 35mm film of Disneyland on a home projector and screen that my family had when I was in my single digits. This was one of our favorite things to watch growing up. My first Disney trip was in the mid 80’s when I was about 20, and my mom and I had this time together, and I remember running thru Epcot together. It brings back many memories for me. My oldest sister was a huge Mickey fan when she was in her 20’s until she passed away at 37…. I had actually not wanted to have anything to do with Disney after that, and felt like I would be conforming. My wife and I had decided, after getting married in NY, that we wanted to have a different lifestyle (and got tired of 60-80 hour work weeks). Her parents had moved to Boynton Beach, FL a decade or so earlier, and after a few visits we decided Florida was where we wanted to live, and raise kids.
We moved to Wellington, FL which has amazing schools, and it is the Equestrian capital of the world which has opened our eyes to many fun and differing lifestyles. No, we do not own a horse. However, we did decide to do a trip to WDW and all I keept saying was I refuse to conform. By the end of the trip I was calculating the value in DVC. We went home and I started researching, and we ended up buying SSR (300) as our first contract…we were hooked. Addonitis kicked in and we grabbed BWV (200) and PVB (275). This past year we decided to buy a house in Championsgate, FL and sold our SSR and BWV contracts. We are still holding PVB for on-site special events, and are enjoying our vacation home.
Our little ones love Disney and all things Disney, and we even bought AP’s for Legoland while they hadn’t outgrown it. We just did our first trip to Seaworld this weekend, where we all stayed overnight camping (thru cub scouts) in the Beluga Whale exhibit. It was an experience for use, but that type of event was one and done for us. We really enjoyed the educational part and plan on heading back to Seaworld a couple of more times, Universal FL is a thought for this year as well…. Our big family trip coming up is a cruise to Alaska in June, out of Seattle. This was on our bucket list, and life is too short as we have been reminded about throughout Covid and losing people we knew and loved.
Here is hoping that we meet more MO’s this year, if schedules work out! Wishing everyone a great new year, and that all of your wishes and dreams come true!

Hi everyone! I am Linda (aka PirateLinda).
So happy we have a new home! I've been on MO a long time but mainly a lurker. DH and I have been married 35 years and have 3 wonderful daughters and 2 wonderful son-in-laws. Maybe 3 eventually. I've been going to WDW since 1976. I introduced DH to WDW on our honeymoon. He had only been once or twice before that. We bought into DVC in 2003 and have been slowly adding on points. Best decision ever!!
We've raised 3 DVC/BWV snobs. They love Disney as much as we do. We finally have a family trip planned this year with everyone. It's hard to coordinate so many work schedules. Of course, DH and I have been making just us trips which are very nice. We love the festivals at Epcot!

Greetings all, Chuck here. I bought into DVC back in 2009 (living in Wichita, KS) and have loved it. In 2010, we moved to the Twin Cities where we finished raising our four children. Now, we have five grandkiddos that live in SC and FL, so in 2017 we moved to Jacksonville to be closer to them (split the difference). This year will be our 30th wedding anniversary when my wife and I will celebrate 28 years of happy marriage. I'm an accountant and have been spending the last 12 years doing ERP implementation for a large multi-national corporation. I'm still in the Twin Cities and (mostly) still loving our seasons. Not ready to move South quite yet! Happy Anniversary! We are 30 years as well. Bridal fashion was something to behold in 1993; BIG everything!

Hi, MagicOwners! I'm Lola, aka Lola. I'm so happy to see so many familiar names and many thanks to Helenabear for the hard work to get us here. My DH and I bought SSR aboard the Disney Magic in 2008. Sight unseen and after a couple of cocktails! We have never regretted it. We have two DD, 23 and 22. They have grown up traveling to most DVC resorts. Vero and SSR are favorites! I am not really a fan of hallways, but do love a BWV stay for F&W. DH and I live in a quaint lakeside town west of Minneapolis, MN. I am a retired optometrist. I retired in 2007 to be a stay at home mom for our girls. DD1 now lives and works in Chicago and DD2 just started her masters in industrial engineering. My avatar is our mini-aussiedoodle, Rosie. She brings so much joy to our home since our girls have grown and flown.

Hello all! I just found this site last week and am delighted to join the party. By way of introduction, I am Kimberly, mom to three DDs whose names begin with J, R, and A, hence my username & same as on MO. I grew up in upstate NY, worked in WDC and Manhattan, was recruited to Houston to work for Enron (where I subsequently lasted with the estate through bankruptcy until we were down to a few dozen), when I resigned to move back to upstate NY. DH is a teacher (and hence can work almost anywhere), and we wanted to raise our girls near family (DH from MA), and my dad had been diagnosed with cancer, so with Enron winding down the timing was right. We've been back in NY since 2005 and I began almost immediately as an independent contractor WFH, so I have been very lucky and blessed to be able to manage my career such that I could still do all that I wanted with the girls while they were growing up. They are all now making their own ways into the world. DD2 & DD3 currently in college (junior and freshman), but the nest isn't quite empty yet as DD#1 graduated in May and moved back home to save $ while working FT as a junior engineer. Exciting stuff ahead for all of them! Shout out to the PA folks -- DD#1 graduated from Lafayette and DD#3 just started at Swarthmore. Anyway, about the Disney in our lives, DH and I took each of our DDs by themselves to WDW the summer between Kindergarten and First Grade as their first visits. We wanted each of them to experience it for themselves and be able to focus just on them. We bought DVC (BLT) in 2010 when we took the youngest for her solo trip and added on (BWV) a couple of years later after learning about resale. We have loved our Disney vacations and been fortunate to be able to bring family and friends on occasion. DH and I have a trip *just the two of us!* in April and are looking forward to trying a new-to-us resort (SSR). I'm so glad this new site is taking off and appreciate the time and effort that has been and continues to be put in by the admins and all that participate to create this community.

Hello all, I am Lodgelady here on Magic Owners, but formally BWV Dreamin over on MouseOwners. I have been a MouseOwners participant since 2007. Since I no longer own BWV, I felt this was a good time for a name change. We are mostly adult only travelers now. We live in Pennsylvania and love every opportunity to get to sunny Florida!
Many thanks to Helenabear and the others that were able to continue this forum.

I never knew how great the weather is that first week of December. Would love to meet up at the Lodge sometime. Maybe there could even be a planned MO meet like we did 10 years ago!

Janet is still amongst us DVC owners, just no longer actively participating here. Their next trip is June I do believe. Saw them a couple months ago, all is well.
