HI All, First, thanks for getting the new site up and running! My name is Amy and DH and I have been married for 17 years and we a 14 yo DS. We actually got married at the GF Wedding Pavilion with a small group of family in attendance. A year later, we bought DVC AKL points and have enjoyed going ever since. This past year we had our first add-on points for SSR. We love Disney Cruise Line as well. We just completed our 7th DCL cruise over Christmas (possible trip report coming). When we were planning for our first cruise, I made the mistake of using our DVC points for the cruise, and I learned from MO that was a waste of our points and I should have rented them out instead! Lesson learned! This is a fun and knowledgeable community and am glad it's continuing. Would love a DCL trip report! We've been on the Dream once and it was a fantastic vacation. It was DD's 5th birthday and she'll be 10 in 2024. I just asked her if we should do a Cruise for her 10th as well and she shouted YES!

Hello I'm Tania. We brought our kids to disney for their first trip in 06, and have returned every year since then. I am a school based OT so we usually only travel in the summer. Up until this past year, my mother traveled with us every year. She sadly passed away in May. The day before she died, she was very confused, and thought we were on vacation in disney (we were in the hospital room). She looked around the room and said "this isn't where we usually stay" then proceeded to ask me to change our resort - she wanted to go to the Beach Club. Beach Club will always hold a special memory for me. My son just got offered a professional internship at Disney, so I might have to try to make some extra trips on the weekends (if only I didn't hate flying so much- yes I have a phobia of flying and prefer to drive everywhere as much as possible:) Thank you to all who made this site possible

Hi, I'm another one who just found out to come over here yesterday. Before that, I was on mouse owners for many, many years with only a slightly different user name, Simba's Mom. Simba was a new kitten when I started, and a few years ago, he crossed the rainbow bridge. At that time I considered changing my user name, but now it's a fond memory to have my user name be in his honor. My real name is Dorothy, visitor at WDW for 35 years, DVC member for 21.

I am another long time Mouse Owner's member. My name is Jerry. I have been married for 30 years and I expect DW to sign up. We are very original with our usernames. I am jflatto and she is gflatto (Gretchen). I am a college professor and teach data analytics. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering, a MS in Computer Science, MBA, ScD in Management Systems. I have been at University of Indianapolis (Indiana) (not Indiana University) for 26 years; a teaching university. I came out of industry and had no interest in a research school. We bought DVC back in 2008 (AKV and BLT). At the time, we had DS and DD (twins) 6 years old. Now they are both 20 with DS going to Purdue and DD going to Indiana University. Thus, we are pretty limited in when we can go to Disney based on school schedules. We got married in 1992 and that was our first trip each to Disneyworld. We stayed at Beach Club. We didn't realize that there was a "back door" to Epcot (International Gateway) and went all the way around to the main entrance of Epcot for part of our honeymoon. Our next trip is middle of March and staying at Board Walk. I turn 65 during the trip. We let our annual passes expire due to Covid and never expected Disney to not make them available again. Not happy campers. We are pretty frustrated with direction that Disney has gone so we have cut back our trips. Increase the ticket price and include Genie + and maybe 3 LLs in the cost of the ticket rather than "nickel and diming us". We actual have our AKV points up for sale through a broker but no action. We may just "pull them back" and rent them out to kick the can down the road for another year. We were planning on keeping our BLT points for now. Starting to look at retirement in another year and North Carolina is a distinct possibility. We lived in Greensboro, NC for a few years before coming to Indianapolis.

I have been a mouseowners member since 2012. I was and still am Twingirls because I have twingirls. 😂 I started reading mouseowners when I was up in the middle of the night when my twins were 1st born. We bought a small resale contract at Boardwalk in 2012. Then added on and added on again for a total of 350. All of our points are at the Boardwalk because, as a school teacher, I hate buses. So anything that decreases my need to use a bus is good and I love the standard view point chart there. We just came back from a visit which was crazy busy. We usually go the 1st 2 weeks of June which is busy but not as busy as winter break. I am looking forward to a time we can go when it’s not a school holiday though that is at least 10 years from now.

Bah humbug. I pay attention when I please… That ain’t nice… Bah humbug. Damn right. It is numbers-related after all. Bah humbug again. Absolutely. Indeed. I had really missed reading Bah Humbug! 🥰 Glad to be here for you. Impressive multi quoting. But singles get more post counts. Mindy taught me that, plus I’m not very good at it! Ha, I’ve always multi-quoted. Tom, not so much… Bah humbug. I pay attention when I please… That ain’t nice… Bah humbug. Damn right. It is numbers-related after all. Bah humbug again. Absolutely. Indeed. No need for humbugs. You are restored. Let me know if you have staff access in your profile. Thanks! But humbugs are part of my personality,..

Hi, still stellabutterman which is my daughter's name for strangers when she was little. Stella is also the beagle in my avatar, and she has a half-sister named Coco. I'm Becky, a retired English/Art teacher who now works part-time in a school library. My dream was to travel when school was in session once I retired, but that didn't quite happen yet. DH works in the medical field and is ready to retire. We have two kids, both in their twenties. DS is currently a missionary associate at the local university and has a degree in sport management aka recreation, and DD is studying theatre design tech. We live in rural Missouri.
The three of them had their first Disney trip in 2011, but I've been going to Disneyland since the sixties and Disneyworld since the seventies.

Well Hello All. henrycpa here, otherwise known as Jamie.
I am a behavioral health executive and father of a 30 year old son, 15 year old daughter (which is why I bought DVC in 2009) Audrey, and 3 amazing Grandchildren (F7, F2, M1), and my wife and master...Jodi...LOL!
My first trip to WDW was in June 1974 (I think. It could have been 73) and my first time out of state of KY and went to stay with my sister in Cocoa FL. She was alloted Free Tickets from her Today Newspaper role. They were still constructing Space Mountain. I did not make it back to any Disney Park for 30 years when I returned with my 10 year old son in April of 2004. In 2005 I was in Orlando for a business meeting and got a 1 day afternoon ticket and came home and took my wife back 2 weeks later for another 3 night fast trip. Starting in 2006 we went annually and finally purchased the first of 5 DVC Contracts (4 Resorts).
I recognize a lot of the names here so sure we will take right off.

Howdy Pardners! Janet & Dan Baker, aka Bakerworld, living in Flourtown off of Mill Road. (I actually didn't put that together until another forum poster asked if we live on Candy Lane - LOL.) We have 3 progeny; 41, 38, 34. Our eldest asked me how long we were married Sunday (Orthodox Christmas) and I told her 'you +2'. We've retired in '21. We've now have 3 grands; 11, 3, 3months. Our youngest was talking about baby names so I guess that number might increase.
We started going to WDW in '74 and started taking kids in '92 (I couldn't/wouldn't do it until everyone was fairly independent.) The kids were Disney'd out by HS but we kept going and OMG going as a couple was 'a whole new world' (yes, I just sang that). We joined DVC in '08. (Apparently there was a recession going on which worked out for us. DH explained it to me while we were leaving in the DVC van because I couldn't get over the low price. Believe it or not I'm the family CFO. I tried to hand it off to my Chepek but he Iger'd me.) Our fairly standard annual WDW vacations are March and October cause I like it when it's cooler. DVC introduced us to DCL and we do like a water view.
