If I don’t pay my dues can I still register for Moonlight Magic? If it’s past Feb 14th I don’t know. Until then you’re fine. We once missed paying by about a month. We got another payment notice by post (to the U.K.) and an email. But our reservation stayed on our dashboard. I grovelled an apology on the phone and paid with a CC, and all was good.

As we have AP tickets we need to make Park Reservations, yes?

As we have AP tickets we need to make Park Reservations, yes? If you want to get into a park before 2:00 pm guaranteed then yes. If you want to chance that a “good to go day” is going to happen to be open, then no. IMO they are a joke. I will continue to make them for when we want to go until the park reservation trash is completely gone. I wouldn’t risk not having one if we were going for a day trip or for a DVC stay.

“good to go day”..<snip>..IMO they are a joke. I agree, they are ridiculous. Hate the name, too. Have we even found out how far in advance they are going to be released/announced?

I wouldn’t risk not having one if we were going for a day trip or for a DVC stay. Considering that park reservations seem to be wide open, even up until day of, on all but the busiest days, I'd say that the risk is minimal. Also, with the general availability of park reservations just about whenever one wants one (peak holiday travel excepted), the park reservation system would seem to be, mostly, a non-issue.
Cheers.

MDE just says the calendar updates periodically. There is a little video under pass holder buzz. Not too helpful Right now, the last 'good to go' day is Feb 1st.

We wanted Epcot yesterday. First weekend of a festival opening along with a holiday weekend. I’m pretty sure it was blocked for APs, but I’m not 100% sure. We go often. I make reservations. Especially true if we wanted to hit MK on a weekend. I’d rather just keep doing what we’ve been doing since my brain is trained that way after having done it for so long. I do know this if we didn’t have DVC I would have cut park visits from our life because I dislike them that much. They are beyond lame.

Looking for today and the near future, every day seems available for every park.
To each their own, of course. I'm just not gonna sweat things that have no impact on me.
Cheers.

Here is a question, probably a few all in one.
Did any park close over Christmas this year or since the parks reopened from the shutdown? They allowed hopping at 2:00 still. I cannot remember when they brought that back so maybe this was the first Christmas season it was allowed. I really don’t remember.
Why didn’t it close or even have a partial closing with the different phases that they used for years? I know there were dates where no more reservations were allowed, but park hopping wasn’t shutdown.

Cheers. I’m not sweating it. I don’t worry that they will be gone, but if we want in before 2:00, there is no choice. We go on the weekends and so far no “good to go” days are on the weekends so we have to make them. If we plan lunch at Springs, we’ll go to a park before that, not after. That’s what we did yesterday with lunch plans at Springs. Logistics as a local is the driver to this. I’d rather go to the park in the morning so I don’t have to park in the back of the lot. Granted the exercise is good, but we put in over 5 miles yesterday without even trying and we were parked close. It’s also cooler in the mornings at the parks during warm temps and driving home in the dark we don’t fancy either. So…all that plays into going to the parks. Anyway…if you want to be sure you’ll get in before 2:00 to a park, a reservation is necessary.
