Anyone watching the US Open - going crazy with that annoying hum in the broadcast. Is that a helicopter? We watched a bit last night at our favorite brewpub. The bartender is a big golf fan so it's always on. Some where talking about the background noise, many were discussing the late start times. |

We're lucky to have great neighbors. There was a ratty fence on one side the the neighbor simply put in a really nice one on their own. On the other side, an old fence fell down years back. The neighbors have been living abroad and renting the place. The old fence was replaced with a chain link. On a hill with brush in front, but not attractive. They cam back for several months and, in addition to undertaking major pruning on their property, and at the property line, they decided that the chain link had to go and a nicer fence needed to go there. They talked with us about it and we agreed on just what should go there. Then we had to talk them into letting us pay for half. Very nice work and great neighbors.for a change. Cheers. 26 years in our current house. Great neighbors for the most part.... the only real not great part is the very young couple on one side who haven't been taking yard care very seriously yet. Last week it improved some. They're good kids and are willing to learn. We're eager to help when they will let us. The other side is another young couple who we mostly adore having there! I don't have time enough to go into all the details....  The odd folks are in the backyard.... she's not nice. Fortunately they had a privacy fence installed 2 years ago. Ugly side facing us.... |

Happy Father’s Day!
Shrubs completed. Too hot but it’s done. Neighbors left us alone and they kept their dogs from constantly barking at us.
Best of all, Bill is injury free.
I think I hate the little palm thing the most. And we may have to surrender and hire it out. 8 bags.
we left the bottle brush bush for another day as it’s blooming and the butterflies love it. No bees which is bothersome just because we need bees.

No network TV here and Bill isn’t into golf. |

Anyone watching the US Open - going crazy with that annoying hum in the broadcast. Is that a helicopter? I did see that listed on Peacock and said to myself, awe… didn’t know that was on. But, was turning tv on to watch Indy racing at Road America (one of the best race tracks out there!) so watching that instead. |

Update from the 55+ community! The lady who backed into Bill's car and went off on us about our shrubs and the neighbors over their shrubs being trimmed was just hauled away by the sheriff! Her husband called the police on her. She's stone cold drunk too. When she went after the shrub trimmers of our neighbors, she came over drunk in her nightgown too! I guess they were having a very loud screaming match in front of their house too and came around into our cul-d-sac! We had no idea anything was going on until my parents were leaving after dinner. 3 sheriff SUVs came.
I told Bill she was unstable with the interactions we had when she accused us and said...."you better not try to kill our dogs!" WHAT?!?!
She has some real problems. We will stay away and have little if any contact with her. I guess they are getting a divorce.
Wow! I wonder what the under 55 areas are like!!

Taking the family on a weekend trip to Santa Fe, NM tomorrow. We're going to Meow Wolf and probably the Town Plaza. Any other recommendations/must-dos, for anyone familiar with that city?
