It got hot today!
Hot! Minnesota. It got up to 65 in the house. I shut the heat off.
Windows open, now we play the game of "how cold can we make it overnight" with fans in the windows, then windows get shut during the day. If I'm lucky, it will be in the 50's in here in morning. Low of 45, so maybe 58 or 57, that's my bet.
Never one to be bored and take the easy way out, our house is plaster-walled so there is a lot of thermal mass...so that changes the way you play the game.
This game will persist for a few weeks, until the humidity rolls in and we fire up the AC.

"Learned skills"
First job after college, I was a mailman doing Christmas package runs in my mom's minivan. I learned to "parallel park" in snow-covered fancy neighborhoods by pulling the parking brake and doing 180's, slamming into the curb after doing a sliding U-turn, right between parked cars. One guy answered the door with an enthusiastic "Do that again!" while his wife looked none-too-happy in the background.
First "real" job was in a factory, I got put into the paint department of a spiral stair factory because I had painted a couple cars in my driveway, so I guess I was qualified. I remember watching the guy who trained me wield that spray gun, "okay I can do that" You do it just like him, it's garbage, runs everywhere, more runs than actual paint. You swear to god it can't be done, but HE does it, you saw it. Over and over, garbage. One day, weeks later, you spray something and no runs. You can't believe it. It just happens. Blink. Perfect. No effort.
I felt that tonight doing drywall in my home. Trying to mud some joints on the ceiling, same as before, except this time suddenly it isn't raining mud, more mud on the floor than where it belongs. I don't know what happens but it isn't this gradual shift, it's like you can't do it, and then suddenly - without warning - you do it. You look like the youtube guy.
No big deal.

"Chilly" in the Sunshine State...guy made fun of me on my walk that I was dressed for winter  the wind was pretty brutal and it makes my ears hurt so I had my hood up. It made me laugh. Happy Sunday! Happy Easter! |

Hi Peeps  Glad to hear Annual passes go back on Sale, I know a lot of you use them, cool 😎 (this is the cool emoji w sunglasses, if it doesn’t show up ) Wiltony Yep Enjoy life and His memories every day Jerry enjoy the musical  Brian Nephew & Mom Dan when u return from up north, what projects do you have going on ?  A of B Ha ha  When you hear the screams  we looked into the members cruise for 2024 but it’s actually a Members Exclusive Voyage to lighthouse point ….. meaning unlike regular member cruise where you can just use all cash and save your points for WDW, You have to use one person with points, So we decided not to go. Maybe another time 😊 ….. for those interested, booking opens up April 22 @ 10:00 AM (EST) Good Day Peeps . I’m going home this weekend!! We have a new release wine pairing at a local vineyard we’ve become regulars at on Saturday. I might be back up here Monday and Tuesday if I’m not far enough done. Home Tuesday night for dinner with friends from Alaska!!!!!! Then pack for Disney!  |
