NEW DETAILS REVEALED FOR MAGIC KINGDOM MEMBER LOUNGE!
Our first-ever Member Lounge at Magic Kingdom® Park at Walt Disney World® Resort, Disney Vacation Club® McKim's Mile House - A Member Lounge, is set to open by Summer 2025. Nestled in the heart of Frontierland, this rustic retreat will offer eligible Members* and their guests rest and refreshment in a space inspired by boarding houses that accommodated tired train travelers during the Gold Rush days of the American West.
The “McKim” name is a nod to the late Disney Legend Sam McKim, a Western-film-star-turned-Disney Imagineer whose visionary artwork helped shape some of Disney’s most iconic places in Frontierland and beyond.
Inside the lounge, Members and their guests will find comfortable seating, complimentary soft drinks and Wi-Fi, a dedicated Disney Vacation Club Member Services team and more.

Just saw this. If it’s a DVC member lounge, why does this only pertain to “ direct” or grandfathered owners? This is only a lounge right, not an attraction?

The Epcot & Disneyland Member Lounges have the same access restrictions. Just like Dining/Merch Discounts, the Sorcerer Pass & Moonlight Magic (to name just a few), they are perks that Guides can include in their sales pitch as only being available to direct purchasers.

The reality of this, DVD pays for it, not our dues. So they have the right to decide who gets to use what. For them, it's a selling point just like the Epcot one is.
I love that description … Take the time to look inside the Frontierland StageCoach Stop DVC sales stand that was next to the shooting gallery … a lot of original history on those walls with maps of the StageCoach Ride and some of those guides offer a very interesting conversation.
I am probably in the minority but I could care less about this, or any of the lounges really. I think it's over-hyped for what it is and it's like Ft. Knox to get into. It's a lounge for goodness sakes. We've tried it a few times, were not impressed, so we don't bother anymore.

I'm really excited about this. We go in late July so I'm guessing it will be open for our trip. If only to just have a new place to hang out for a bit at MK. I think it will likely be more busy than Epcot because I always feel like the Epcot one is kind of out of the way.
This will be on our list to check out on our trip this summer. I don't think we'll go out of our way for it, but I will keep it in mind for when we are over on that side of the park to see about taking a break there. I'm apprehensive about the wait to get in, though. We almost always have a wait (sometimes brief, sometimes lengthy) at the EPCOT lounge. With this one being new and in a prominent location (unless it's somewhat camouflaged?), I'm thinking we should be prepared to be on a waitlist for a while. In this spot, though, there's more to do while waiting so IG that's the tradeoff.
It’s perfect location to get the attention of guests that do not have membership… It seems like it might have entry on both sides possibly with the construction walls last visit. I think they took out the Shooting Gallery on the Frontierland side but also extended back to the Sunglasses Store behind it . I vaguely recall seeing construction walls on the Adventureland and was thinking it was the same area front & back . Maybe the actual entrance will be next to the StageCoach DVC Booth with windows to attract interest on the Adventureland side for non-members. Ill have to take a walk around MK again…
Have specific Locations for other parks been announced ? I know it took a while to announce this and will take another while for the opening Haha

No
I do not think there are currently any plans for adding more DVC lounges. If they add another lounge in a park, DHS would be next.....only because AK is still a half day park. DHS has a lot of empty spaces where a lounge could be added. AK is more limited on available space to add a lounge.

With the new lands coming to AK they possibly could squeeze one in somewhere with the new buildings. But as a whole, i agree. It would be nice if they did though.
I forgot to check out the new lounge in DS last month. I did stop by the Blue Lounge in Epcot (not DVC/needed to register). Perhaps in April I will stop in both DS and MK.

Rename the Rivers of Light seating areas as "DVC Lounge!"
