Probably just as well I can’t see the benefit other than the Lounge access. Must be a US citizen “of good standing” to upgrade. 🙄 edit: resident, not citizen. Don’t know why yet. The CMs haven’t been given any info, beyond what’s on the web page / email. where did you read that? I was just scrolling through the terms and conditions disneyvacationclub.disney.go.com/membership-magic-beyond-terms-and-conditionsI tried searching for resident and didn't see it, but I'm also dyslexic and can miss if I do something wrong It wasn’t n the Ts & Cs so I missed it at first too. But it’s in the FAQs: Q: Who is eligible to purchase the Membership Magic Beyond option? A. The Membership Magic Beyond option is available for purchase to Disney Vacation Club Members (DVC-Y) with eligible ownership interests currently in good standing, who are U.S. residents.

The FAQ page keeps throwing a 503 error (that's a server issue not able to handle incoming requests). Weird it's not in the terms but is in FAQ. I'll see if it loads now to see what else is there.

The fact it’s not in the terms makes me wonder if we would be able to add it on when we’re in the US. Like we have to be in the US to buy a contract. Not that I would, but it would be interesting to see.

Ok I’m showing my age here. I just cant absorb anymore new changes! I still am going by my old school behavior. Entering the park, getting in line ( probably standby line) making my dining reservations. I’m not paying more and more for stuff that used to be free. I don’t need to ride every ride. We enjoy the resorts. Disney Springs for bar hopping. Rant over. I’m done with complicated park experiences.

Very strange it's not in both... also strange that only my DH got the email and not me. Ok I’m showing my age here. I just cant absorb anymore new changes! I still am going by my old school behavior. I feel oddly drawn to this. It's only $99. I dunno.... we have one trip next summer with family that is not AP and will need 5-day hoppers. Do they count since I'll buy their tickets? Hmmm.
This part is odd... "Available for the enrolled Member and up to 7 family members living in their household."
Why would I need day passes for someone in my household? Everyone in my household has Sorcerer passes. I need a few day passes for ppl not in my household. How would they know anyways tickets you just link and go.

These tickets sound like the FL rate offers they do. I assume guests will need to show ID with the same address as the member when they first use the tickets.

I know some who use that in their favor, whether or not they should.

Following along………..
Trying to read and absorb details from these last two announcements - hard to do with a 21 month who wants to play and wants all my attention.

Those FL offers... are they one park per day? The special they ran this summer was the 3-day and 4-day one park tickets and those aren't super useful. Also they say 5-day weekday, and we'll need a 5-day Sun-Thu. So... it's probly not going to be for me.

I'm going to contemplate this one. The other announcement yesterday is a quick, hard pass. But this....I'm gonna think on it a bit. As I understand it, it seems like only one of these $99 promo programs would need to be purchased for my family of 5. If nothing else we'd get Memory Maker, so that more or less pays for itself right there (doesn't it? am I missing something?).
Though, I do hate the idea of them opening the door on paying for perks. Sigh.

Need to see pricing to see if this is useful. I am assuming the points towards AP will be similar in $ range to the points towards cruise (which are always ear-marked as bad use of points). I have to wonder if the 'points towards AP' is aimed at older DVC who are tired of the parks so are starting to sell member contracts = maybe an incentive to some to retain points for use.

They’ll be useful to some members but not AP holders except in certain circumstances.

Apparently you need 150 points for this and any "membership extras," which I didn't realize:
"The Membership Magic Beyond option is part of Membership Extras which, effective June 3, 2021, requires having an ownership interest with 150 Vacation Points or more purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc."
