Hello, everyone I haven't been active in quite a while. We are headed back to Disney in January. I thought we may hear something about the Cake Bake Shop by now. Anyone hear anything other than sometime in 2024? There will be DH, DS, and myself for have of our 12 day trip. Then joining my DD, and her boyfriend. All adult ages withe the youngest 22. We haven't been since December 2019 into early January 2020.
We are also looking for a different restaurant to try. A sit down preferably. On our list are Le Cellier Wine Bar George Narcoosees
Artist Point All feedback is appreciated.

They only said fall of 2024. Might be opened for you by then. I'd pass on Cake Bake after seeing prices. Definitely not for me.

No CBS opening date. Sticker shock menu prices. Hadn't seen this. Granola & Yogurt... $26. LOL. Disney will have to reprice or they'll get hammered by social media for this absurdity.

No CBS opening date. Sticker shock menu prices. I haven't seen the prices. This seems typical with everything.

That's too bad. I was looking forward to it. How about the sit down dinners I mentioned?

Yes I think it's odd. There really needs to be more options at this location but feels like less now.

It's not Disney, it's run by a separate entity. Just leased out on Disney property. There is a Cake Bake in Indianapolis. Really high (but not quite as bad) restaurant. My husband jokes saying since they've leased so long with nothing they have to make the prices up somewhere. For those who missed it wdwnt.com/2024/10/23-egg-sandwich-cake-bake-shop-menu-wdw/

That's too bad. I was looking forward to it. How about the sit down dinners I mentioned? My usual advice re dining is that if the menu appeals to you, then try it. Like many restaurants, you're going to get a mix of "love it", "hate it" and everything in between. I don't pay attention to any of the WDW-related social media accounts who pose as food/dining critics.

I checked the prices out. I have to say this is outrageous. I have been waiting to try the high tea but that's not even on the menu. If it was I cringe to think of what it would be.

Yeah, the prices are pretty darn high, even by WDW standards. I was even more surprised to find that the prices were not that different than what they charge in Indianapolis. Personally, I doubt this will survive more than two years.

Cheers.

Welcome Back!
Cake Bake will be opening soon...a firm date has not been announced. Their menu is pricey for a lot of simple things.
Le Cellier is still good. We were there a few months ago and was not disappointed.
Wine Bar George has not made it into our rotation. I hear it is very good.
Narcoossees is one of out top 5 favorite restaurants in WDW.
Artist Point is now a character dining experience. The food is a downgrade from what it use to be and its a bit pricey for what you get. But if you want to see the characters, then give it a try!
