Meh, another resort that does nothing for me. Though a hotel is far better than cabins. I believe initially there were to be other “dwellings” as well, so it wouldn’t surprise me to see the cabins folded in somehow, especially with the current sales pace.
I know there was some mention of a restaurant, I’m sure I’ll visit it at some point. Hopefully something unique (and pleasant) gets added in as well.

Right now I am having a hard time getting excited about purchasing any new DVC. With Reflections being revived, well I just feel we have reached the DVC saturation point. Before long it will be called “ Walt Disney DVC World”………

There are also permits for 18 locations between the main site and WL, which are almost identical to the original locations. Presumably for the A frame cabins.

I remember there being small cabins in addition as well. I really hope they're rethinking some of what they are doing. The oversaturation is becoming too much for DVC I think. Granted I remember when it was the best kept secret...

If people are still buying it isn’t over-saturation. 😉
Whether this resort is what potential buyers want is another story. We’ll see in 18-24 months I guess.

If people are still buying it isn’t over-saturation. 😉 Oversaturation can mean a feeling of over exposure to something too - in this case feeling we got tooooooo many DVC resorts and owners at WDW Like I said I remember when it was the best kept secret.

I know what you mean, but I also suspect the majority of guests still know nothing, or very little, about DVC.

Disney will always be packed - thanks to dvc. But at some point, supply will pass demand if they keep building on every buildable spot in WDW. I wish they put a DVC resort where the swan reserve is - but i know that land is leased to the realty company that built the boardwalk area. Disney has discovered the dvc cash cow and they are going to continue to cash in as much as they can. Hopefully Reflections will be the last MK resort. I wish disney would look to other area (have said before) to build, boston, NYC, DC, NH, CO, ect. maybe have a national parks dvc resort where they build resorts near the parks. Something different.

Maybe not a whole lot, but when you have kiosks in the lobby of every single resort and multiple places in each park it is better known than before. A ton has changed in 20 years since I've bought in. Even more since the beginning. I know you were teasing, but I feel it's definitely to a point where DVC is a lot. Whether the guests are owners or renters knowledge is there. Your day guests not as much, but for sure onsite.

…in the very beginning , guests could not miss all the DVC “save 70%” campaign
If I wear a backpack or anything , anywhere I traveled strangers would ask What’s a Disney Vacation Club … Today the new Walk in Disney Sales Center at Disney Springs is always busy and usually have to wait for a schedule return time to go upstairs because they are so busy.!!!
Before the movie starts at Disney Springs AMC the lengthy high quality DVC preview commercial is built into every mindset probably at any age and the desire remains . If it fits the Disney target Disney is going to sell it and never worries about overselling .

There was a time when The National Harbor in Maryland was rumored to have DVC there. That’s the only area that I’m aware of where Disney was going to expand.

I was talking to some neighbors as they were planning a trip to WDW. Mentioned we are DVC owners. They knew all about it. The message is definitely out there now. Before it would be like “ What is Disney Vacation Club?”

Especially after aulani, I would be really surprised if they ever do a non-park DVC again

Before it would be like “ What is Disney Vacation Club?” Within my son's core group of friends of maybe 15 kids total, there is another owner for DVC as well. Of course they're not the ones offering to help with spring break for senior year even though their kid is going to go, but I have a feeling that their point total is significantly less than mine. There is another friend who has a different timeshare, I think it's Wyndham? Anyway, they definitely know about DVC but had already bought into the current one that they have before they decided they liked Disney more. It is definitely not an unknown.

Very likely why resale restrictions are not a factor in slowing RR sales, for example.
Cheers.
