Universal has released an update to their newest hotel, to be located at the Epic universe theme park. All I can say is wow! Disney continues to be out done by Universal these past few years and this is another feather in their cap.
You can read details on one of the sites below.
I have not been to Universal since 2000, but the new Theme Park and Hotel is calling my name in 2025.

Well, good for Universal. They certainly need something to improve attendance. Recent data show that they dropped significantly in 2023 compared to Disney. Maybe this will help bolster them so that Disney can stop eating their lunch and they can both be at the same table Competition is good and maybe this will reduce crowds at WDW.

Cheers.

Looks very nice! can't wait to try it out. Probably won't be for a while, but so excited about everything Epic Universe looks to be. Lots of chatter that it doesn't say they're offering express passes w this hotel...yet. That may eventually come out. I would be ok if Epic didn't use express for a while, but we'll see how it all shakes out. I would think express will be incluced at some point at this hotel.
We have a 1 night stay at Royal Pacific for our October fall break trip and looking very forward! HHN scares plus Velocicoaster and butterbeer. Always fun!!

Yup, I’m all for competition to press Disney to do more and do better, except I’m constantly reminded that Universal’s assets do nothing for me.
Hotel looks great, amazing even. Has the rooftop restaurant I always want. But with views of what…. Likely looking down on some roller coaster. Ooh but we should be able to see their nighttime show from there, hopefully with music piped in. But what music? Harry Potter has some good stuff, Jurassic Park is at least recognizable, maybe Mario’s theme for a bit. That’s about it. Absolutely nothing that moves me,
Will the hotel and park finally get me to visit? Finally looks like the answer is yes. Will it come close overall to the Disney experience for me? Not a chance in hell.

It looks great! Now throw in some one bedrooms with a full kitchen and washer/dryer, and I will happily stay there.

Ha ha speaking of Universal, 7:55 this morning at my Walmart, they played the entire "Miami Vice" theme by Jan Hammer. It was rad.
If you are wondering what that has to do with Universal, back when I was a kid they had a Miami Vice stunt show that was all speedboats doing jumps etc in a lagoon. The music made me think of those days.

Looks awesome. I have not been to Universal since Harry Potter first opened. Would love to do a visit again someday.
I think a little competition is good. Good for Universal. Lless crowds/pricing competition, etc. etc.
