Greetings to all, yes I am actually Greenban (Greenbanned) from this DIS (short-lived) and MouseOwners (Longer Lived)
I hope all are well, I have been out of the DVC scene for far too long, I have even lost access to deep croaker!
My family tragedy was the loss of our son at age 15. No words can describe that event, and it took us away from our happy place for many years. We lost Anthony, Jr. 9/2011.
Anyhoo, G-d is good and he has blessed us with healing. Thus I am making a return. (Really because I saw some very nice posts refering to me as recently as 2023, thank you!)
The magic has finally returned to us, and I am looking forward to sharing and drinking the Kool-Aid with you all!
-Tony
PS, I have no clue where my avitars went, if you have a copy and are so inclined, please contact me!
Updates: my eldest is getting married in April of 25, My youngest is starting Medical School at my alma matter (we couldn't talk her out of it!)
And yes I am finally retired, so now I only work 40 hours a week for a DoD Contractor. My DW has *NOT* left me after 34+ years of wedded bliss.
Love to all!

Condolences, a parent outliving a child is an acute loss that is especially difficult to bear. Welcome back. I hope the magic of our shared love here contributes to your healing.

Tony....I remember hearing of your loss many years ago. I remember how close your family was in your many trip reports and postings in general.
I am super happy you are in a good place now. I remember when JimP and his wife went through a similar loss. They struggled for years, but finally found a "new" happy place in their lives when they became grandparents.
Not many made it through the pandemic layoffs. I lost many of my contacts too.
Many congrats.....Congrats on retirement! Congrats to family growth! Congrats to Medical School! Congrats on Kool-Aid!

So sorry to learn of your loss. So very happy that you have healed ( as much as is ever possible) and that your happy place now awaits you. Your family sounds beautiful! We are here to resurrect your DVC and believe me, we are all learning and re-learning!!

Losing a child is truly unimaginable. My heart goes out to you.
Congrats on the retirement and making it at least 34 years married. Glad you have returned!

I remember you, welcome back!
I’m so sorry for your loss. Time helps, but in some cases never fully heals. I’m glad that you are at a place where you can revisit places that brought you joy.

So sorry for your loss. It's only been 13 years. I remember my neighbor consoling me over the loss of my son, and although it had been over 30 years for her, certain events still moved her to tears. But there was more laughter than tears.

Again, welcome back, Tony! So very sorry for your loss. Congratulations on all the upcoming wonderful events.
I now live in Sanford, so it will absolutely be my pleasure to meet you in person on your next visit to WDW. Still single, so feel free to resume the lookout as well, ha.
