My opinion is similar to Nickys. The rooms don’t have enough color for my taste. I’m fine with most of the other design elements though. I’m glad they’re not over-the-top Disney characters like the redesigned Poly and Contemporary hotel rooms.
We do 5 in a studio. The existing Poly rooms are perfect for us with the 3 beds and 2 bathrooms. The new studios appear to lack both of those so they’re a lesser offering in my opinion. It will be nice to have a one-bedroom option at Poly if we ever decide to scale up though. I can deal with the beige in that instance lol

I love two bathrooms in the long houses. It is a lot of beige but love that there is a table and chairs. The current studios still have tables and chairs correct? Yes. It’s a round table with two bright blue chairs. It’s not huge but coupled with the couch and storage box it works well enough. It’d be nice if the storage box had one of those hinge lids that allowed it to move up to a “lap table” though.

I am at Boardwalk right now after a recent stay at RR, I can say with 100% certainty that I much prefer the galley kitchen style. These nook kitchens are actaully a big pain to me to get anything done in the kitchen portion. No room.
Not sure why the kitchenette would be any more disturbing than now as well. Again in Boardwalk in a 2 bedroom so we have both to look at. They're all disturbing when making anything in the morning.
Guess I'm not getting the too much beige vibe. This is an "island" resort and most have lovely pops of color. A lot of the furniture has color in it, but this is exactly what I would expect of upscale polynesian resorts of now.
I saw floor plans with both showers and tubs in the studios. Not sure what the studio tubs will be like.
But those who want vibrant colors have other options. I'll definitely take this.
Current studios have a small round table and 2 chairs. Not very big though.

Found this nugget. It's what I expected: There are 3 view categories.
Themepark view would be on the lagoon side of the tower that faces the park.
Preferred view would be on the lagoon side where the building is slanted towards the pool or on the road side upper floors with what they describe as a view of the golf course.
Standard view would be the cheapest and would be on the side facing the road on the lower floors and is described as a parking lot view. You would also see the monorail.

I love the 1 bedroom, 2 bath. If I were staying in a studio, it would be in one of the 3 longhouses. I think the kitchen and banquette seating are interesting, but the room seems small and cramped and I prefer the longhouse studio decor.

While not a fan of the tower itself, I think it is out of place, I do like the look of these villas. Love that the one bedroom has two full bathrooms, that is a huge plus when staying at AKV or BLT with one of my adult kids. I actually like the galley style kitchen, I thought it made the room at RR feel more open and bigger. I love our other resorts, but the closed in kitchen is not the best with a big group. Any more than one person trying to meal prep just doesn't work. Love the pop of blue in the bathroom tile, and the artwork is stunning. Hopefully in a few years we can snag a stay with our BCV or SSR points. I don't think there is a chance of dear husband agreeing to yet another add on.

Studio Kitchenette layout and placement is great. Small table and with bankette seating is better than BWV but still no chairs is a downside.

If going with anyone else at all, I absolutely would agree with you and want a long house Studio too

Rooms are available for booking now. I gotta say, the pictures make the room look better than the video did IMO. This one stood out to me...the shower in what seems to be the 2nd bath in the one or two bedrooms. In the video it looked pretty much white/beige with a few flecks of blue. In the picture it looks black with blue. Honestly, a lot of the colors look different to me. In the video, so much of the rooms looked pale and washed out. The flower above the tub seemed to be about the same shade as the walls, with a slightly darker wall behind it. In the pictures, there is a much more noticeable contrast. It's a similar situation with the headboard in the master bedroom. I hope they just had bad lighting or too much contrast or something in the video and the rooms are closer to the pictures. The studios still wouldn't work for us, but the one-bedrooms would be a consideration.

Robin had one of her clients move their Christmas-NYE stay in a 2-bedroom, from Animal Kingdom SV to the Poly Tower. The cost was only $700 more for the Poly Tower 2-bedroom.
