I have absolutely no rooms booked for the future at the moment. In part because our biggest trip is usually in June so we can't book it yet. The other part is I'm waiting to see Point charts for Polynesian before I decide if we're doing another trip or not. Same here. Usually have a annual Christmas trip but can't swing it this year due to kids school schedules. Poly II is much better inside that we thought. Might even addon if we like the feel. Due to football season (Aug-Nov) and musical (Nov-Feb). We're usually done for the year. I do look forward to seeing whatever they do next year. This current lounge felt meh though better located.

What I saw posted elsewhere said it was elevator work. 1.5 months seems excessive for just the elevator but who knows with their time schedule these days. Being in the Engineering Field for buildings and facilities, I can tell you that 1.5 months for elevator work is fast. The are the slowest of the slowest trade in the construction business. I saw one site say it was for Elevator Replacement, that can not be right. Another site said it was for soft goods replacement.
I am going to side with the soft goods over elevator replacement.

And this one is a slow elevator, so that can't help. So many cycles of "send it up, ok bring it back down again" takes time...
Cheers.

CMs have been told it is an elevator replacement. And likely some soft good updates, but not 100% sure what. But the elevator came direct from the CMs' mouths. That's all they were told was confirmed. The rest they gave some input on apparently but no one knows what.

Christmas break is the only guaranteed week of the year for me, the kids and grandkids to not have anything going on. There is a two week window in July where there is a semi-break with the sports.
Poly Tower is very nice, I could even see myself buying points for the Tower....which is a huge shift for me.

I'll say not so sadly for us, that winter break is not due to activities that goes on over the winter break. We just don't have downtime from August until towards the end of February. This past year was awful with a week break due to the musical shifting to March. But the bad part was we felt like there was no down time between musical, NYC trip for school and then end of school year. We fortunately only have one kid to worry about though. Our semi break is now. After graduation (kid often plays) but before summer music starts for 4th of July. After that it's only days here or there that we have free. This will change in a couple of years though and again later on if kid gets married and has kids of own. But that's why we just got back last night The tower looks incredibly impressive to me in everything I am seeing. I know some hate the look of the tower, but I hated BLT more and got used to it. Some hated VGF building. But inside, it looks so much more upscale but in a way that we like. Kind of like VGF is too froufrou for the spouse of mine. Riviera was also very upscale feel but has its own negatives for us. This tower will hit it all for us! I think it will be a great option for many though I know it will also keep a number out due to point charts. The two full bathrooms really makes it good for us and we'll consider 1 bedrooms for 3 for longer trips because of it. It was never much of a good option for us once my kid outgrew cribs. I do wonder if there were many changes to room design ideas or not. A little birdy named Josh told me 2 years ago that as a PVB owner I was going to be in love with what I saw. He didn't lie.

The elevator over at the American Pavilion is in serious need of replacement.

A little birdy named Josh told me 2 years ago that as a PVB owner I was going to be in love with what I saw. He didn't lie. Aiden, our oldest grandson, lives with us 50% of the time. He is our athlete of the two boys. He plays football and baseball. Football starts in July each year and ends in November, with practice four days a week and games on Saturdays. Baseball really does not end, except for 3 weeks in December and 3 weeks in summer. Practice starts Jan 4th, three days a week until Mid-July. Spring Games starts with Tournaments in March, than travel league games until June. June starts tournament season, 5 weekend tournaments in 6 weeks. Mid-July is a three week break, than Fall Baseball practice starts two days a week, league games start first week in September with double header games on Sundays. Baseball practice ends after the first week in December.
Danny, the youngest grandson, visits every Tuesday and at least one weekend a month during school, and a few weeks over the summer. He is our artist. He takes art classes/camps of various types during the year, that we take him. His schedule is not as intense as Aiden's but there are lots of days where Robin and I are going in different directions, keeping the kids on track.
The funny thing is we did not have all this running with our own kids. The did not like sports and did not do much else. Adam was in scouts for 6 years and Sarah did dance once a week until she was 16. But that was it and it certainly was nowhere near the running we do now for the grandsons.

We checked out the lounge today. It was nice! I actually like it better than the regular one. Basic canned sodas, waters, and snacks. But easy to get into... no wait either time we went in. The one over Figment always seemed more of a hassle. This is in a way better location on the path by Test Track where we spend a lot more time. Overall I give Disney a solid A for a temporary spot that meets all the needs, was easy to use, and very nice!

Does anyone know if the lounge is back open yet or if they are still using the temporary location? We are going the end of next week and planning to go to EPCOT on Friday.
