Thanks. I mentioned this to mrs. brp and she recalled seeing something about DVC near that pool.
Not really a quiet pool in the sense of BWV and BCV, though. That's something missing here- a true "quiet" pool. But we can deal as we went early in the morning during a quiet time.
Cheers.

Nice pictures, glad you enjoyed. I’ve never had a desire to stay there, for some reason. We just booked an October trip and when husband was looking. He mentioned GF… I was like, rather go visit the lobby. Your pictures are better than what Disney shows online. It just looks to foo foo ore ornate to me with their online pictures. I’m in Fl, I need relaxed, tropical and laid back. We booked at the Riviera, again his choice, we have never stayed so I think he wanted to try something different. We did enjoy Topilinos when staying at another resort, last trip. We shall see, have to give everything a chance. Never thought I would like or desire AKV, did it a few years back, Kidani Savanah view with daughter. We loved, it and I was amazed, not a resort I was ever interested in. Went again with husband. Wasn’t sure if he was going to like it. He ended up really enjoying. In the end that’s why I say to people Disney has something for everyone. You have now made me interested in striking GF off our list. As far as Narcooses haven’t been for years but was a great dinner. Soup, for Disney pricing really not bad. I’m on the EasternDelmarva shore, soups are normally in restaurants maybe $3.00 less if that. And we are the seafood, crab, kings. So pricing, not bad.

Quiet pool was once used across the internet. More or less just anything other than the feature pool which hosts activities and such. I have seen the pool at BCV be very full and noisy. Not super often at BWV though. YC has a really awesome and quiet pool though. OKW does as well in a couple spots.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. I too think I would have liked it better had we been in the main DVC building. We were in a resort studio in Big Pine Key.

Nice! Sounds like a great stay overall.
Polite Pig--yes, love it. When we have lunch in Disney Springs, it's a toss up between PP and Pepe for me.
FWIW, re running w/o a shirt on, we walk both ways from BW to DHS every trip and have seem plenty of runners shirtless. It sounds like you encountered one of those "you must obey me because I said so, not because what I'm saying is true" cops. Unfortunate.

Nice review.....I pretty much agree with your thoughts about the resort and narcoossee's.....both are two of our favorites. We are actualy checking in on Thursday at VGF and I had already requested the rooms near where you are staying, for that same view. Fingers crossed that we will get it!
Polite Pig is also high on my list, but we rarely ever seem to go to Disney Springs any more, only at Christmas Time.

It sounds like you encountered one of those "you must obey me because I said so, not because what I'm saying is true" cops. Unfortunate. I think it technically is policy - it certainly is in the parks. At 7AM with no one around, though, no need to say anything. What he wanted was for me to leave the MK front area that early, and I was complying. Then he threw that in. All good.

We do at most one ADR per trip, sometimes none. So we go to DS every trip. Usually more than once. STK HH is a must and then there are enough other non-reservation things that we like. Grabbing a table out at the bar/dock at Boathouse, for example. The inside is crowded and noisy and has no appeal. But the dock is great.
Enjoy your stay and good luck on the room!
Cheers.

Cheers. We are very specific with our room requests. For this stay, we gave them two very specific room numbers - 1507 or 1607, which are standard view dedicated 2-bedrooms.
The need for ADRs very greatly trip to trip. This weekend trip is Robin and I, plus our two grandsons (8&10), plus a neighbor and her two sons (6&11). A party of 7 is challenging, than factor in picky eaters of four boys. It tends to be more structured and planned out.
Now when we go in July, it will just be the two of us. We have a few ADRs, but not every day. Its so much easier for a party of 2 to just go with the flow.

Wow, gorgeous room! We have stayed in the Big Pine Key DVC rooms but never in the actual villas building. So pretty, thanks for sharing!

Agree with your review. We also love Narcoossees. VGF is the best resort in my opinon but BCV and BWV have the best location.

That shower is big enough to have a wading pool almost . Also thinking I would probably slip and would have to be rescued.
That friendly raccoon is a vicious attack animal and they have lots of babies . I listened to a report on NPR about them . They live in trees overhead and are everywhere in Florida. Children feeding squirrels all the time is not a good idea either.
And I appreciate your mature determination about having respect for any cast person on property. You might have been running within the legal perimeter of MK perhaps and it was his duty to Obey his Management too.
I should add some “cast” …Guest observations in the guests behaving badly if I can find that old thread !

When DVC GFV opened I wandered thru the new lobby and discovered that tiered garden and really loved it in the daylight but seeing your photo at night !!! Thanks for reminding me to explore and expand my wandering . But I walk (hate running ) and take stairs everywhere including 3rd level stairs in Celebration townhome that Disney built . I would have no problem carrying luggage up stairs on DVC Villas that do not have elevators.
And one more thing …. When my son did the college program We stayed at the GF but decided to move over to the BoardWalk during holidays. (Well he was assigned to the SPOODLES Pizza window for his internship). Still miss Spoodles ! So you are right about loving your home resort at the BoardWalk.
Thanks for photos and trip report !

That friendly raccoon is a vicious attack animal and they have lots of babies . I listened to a report on NPR about them . They live in trees overhead and are everywhere in Florida. Children feeding squirrels all the time is not a good idea either. Oh, we do not consider raccoons to be cute and harmless. We know better. We saw this one on one of the bridges and, on;y because it walked away did we continue. The picture was from a safe distance. But we know enough about raccoons to be wary. As for feeding the wildlife, yes, we see guests poisoning wildlife (ducks, squirrels, various birds) all the time. "Isn't it cute that that egret is eating popcorn," while poisoning the poor bird. And I appreciate your mature determination about having respect for any cast person on property. You might have been running within the legal perimeter of MK perhaps and it was his duty to Obey his Management too. The point is that I was leaving, at his request. Adding the "anywhere on property" was what crossed the line at reasonable. While I do have respect for the employees, I don't respect all of their actions. And this was a case in point. Since I was leaving, there was no reason to add that. It was an afterthought after I had readily agreed to vacate the area.

I was trying to respond with respect and showing understanding for your description . I just worry that some guests are not familiar with traveling on Disney property.
Sorry if I was misunderstood and caused frustration . I actually was just getting ready to delete because I have a tendency to go Off Topic or take over a conversation .
And this was truly a nice trip report until I posted! Trying to apologize… Since you have already responded I won’t delete anything .
