It’s always more fun to people watch on the first day because we are all super crazy about Stitch…
It was amazing to see how many castmembers where needed to fulfill the first day So that’s a good thing .
And I totally forgot that I was going to check out the first day in Morocco Passholder Lounge, so now I must return because the line needs me.

We normally are not there during the times when they give out magnets, so do not normally get them. In the past, I did not care. I did buy the Figment one on Ebay and likely will do the same for Stitch. I remember when they use to mail these to us!!

I wait until the price comes down. Not worth $30-40 but once the buzz dies down, you can normally get them for $10-15. I hate that they don't mail them anymore. Ugh.

I did buy the Figment one on Ebay and likely will do the same for Stitch. I remember when they use to mail these to us!! Last year they had "make-up" days at Animal Kingdom where you could get the magnets you missed from earlier in the year. I guess that still has to line up with your dates, but it might save you some money. You wouldnt believe how crazy long that line was this morning . I know am extremely critical all the time but I walked away and considered throwing it in the trash. It is about as thin as a piece of paper… remember when they used to be kinda thick and might not fall apart before you got home ? I noticed that too. This one feels extra flimsy.

Story for y'all about the AP magnet thing...
I just got back from a week in WDW with my mom and May 4th was her 'off day' of the trip, so I toured solo. My objectives were to check out Galaxy's Edge, get an AP magnet, and see the AP lounge. [Sidebar: I didn't even make it to Galaxy's Edge. I saw the lines for the Storm Trooper Helmet popcorn bucket and merchandise VQ and hordes of people heading into GE, turned on my heel, and left. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan, so decided to head to EPCOT and make room for others at DHS. 😅]
The line for the magnet was mind-boggling. I seriously thought it must be for something else. Anyone at WDW who wasn't in GE was evidently in this line. 🤣 It extended the length of the outside of the Creations Shop and doubled back TWICE, plus a small loop at the shop entrance. I was dumbfounded. I decided to hop in line while I considered what to do. I figured I'd see how fast the line moved for a few minutes, and bail if it was taking very long. I walked down the length of the shop and found the CM with the "end of line here" sign and was queueing up with a handful of others who also were finding that spot at the same time. Just as we were organizing ourselves, another CM comes up and says, "we're gonna wrap the line from this point; follow me." So, about a dozen of us, plus the End of Line sign-holding CM, follow this CM as she leads us all the way back up along the length of Creations near the entrance (but four loops out, if that makes sense), where she indicates for us to be, and leaves. We look back and see that no one else from the original end-of-line area followed us. So, the group of about 10-15 of us, plus the End of Line Sign CM, are now standing near the entrance to the shop but not in any line at all. Instant chaos. Almost immediately, random new people start joining us in this non-line mess alongside the queue, because the End of Line Sign CM is with us. We were asking her where we joined up with the line and which end of our growing mob was the new end-of-line so that the joiners knew where to line up, but she didn't know; she just stood there and looked around but did nothing. I stood for that for about 15 seconds because it was clear immediately that this was a problem. I left the mob and went back down along the line toward where the original end of line was and found a group of at least six CMs (incl. several 'suits') in a huddle. I figured they were likely discussing this development but didn't wait to eavesdrop, just rudely interrupted 🤗, to say, 'hi, we were told to follow a CM who was moving the end-of-line area up there (pointing to where the mob of us had been congregated as the End-of-Line-that-Wasn't), but now we aren't in any line at all, and were left as a group up there. And I can see that more people are joining the line down there (pointing to where the original end-of-line was at the other end of the Creations shop), so where do you want us to go!?" A few of them responded with remarks like "we apologize for this confusion" and "this is unprecedented" (I heard the word 'unprecedented' at least twice). But they were still discussing, so after a beat I left to rejoin the mob/group. The no-line had grown, but the End-of-Line CM had disappeared. People in both lines (the 'real' line and the 'where are we?' line) were getting angry. People in the real line (which we were alongside) were complaining that we shouldn't be merged in with them because they'd already been waiting. People in the no-line were confused and unhappy that they were wasting time and not even in a line. At least one couple from the not-a-line went under the band into the original line (the 'real line' folks let them in). The guy next to me and I were discussing bailing, but we were both curious how this was going to be resolved. Then a young, very flustered CM (who was literally dragging a small service/support dog by a leash!?) began setting up stanchions around us on all sides. My new friend and I laughed that now we were literally corralled like cattle. But then I made eye contact with one of the suits from the CM group that I'd approached. He was at the end of our corralled group closest to the entrance to the store and removed the band so that our corral merged in with the regular line at that point. He gestured to me to come toward him and motioned to all the people in the original line to move over. I tentatively walked up this newly created open space within the line as the Suit CM kept waving me toward him. My new friend and I (and I presume everyone else from the now-corralled-not-in-line-mob) were led down the line into the top of the queue and right on into the building for our magnet. People in the pre-existing line were MAAAAAD that we went right in. And I don't blame them -- they'd been waiting. But I also wasn't going to refuse! The whole incident took maybe 5-8 minutes from when I first found the original end-of-line to magnet-in-hand. But those minutes descended into pandemonium quickly! I think the CM did the best they could to resolve, once they realized that a problem had ensued - I'm not sure what else I would have expected them to do at that point. But ALL FOR A FREE MAGNET! smh.

But ALL FOR A FREE MAGNET! smh. Very long paragraph that I skimmed, but the gist of it is here.
Maybe it's not worth it for the 30 bucks on eBay
Cheers.

Whew.....what a mess.
Seriously, I just don't get it with the magnet madness. My last trip to WDW I "accidentally" got some because I went in the store and there was literally no line. I picked some up because my daughter-in-law likes them.

I think I stood in line for Figment? but that line was super fast moving. The last ones I got because there was no line at all while in creations. Insane what people do for a magnet.

We'll be in Epcot on 5/24 and 5/25. Hopefully the "first!" hysteria will have lessened by then.
