I wonder how much push-back you would get if you asked to break it up into ten 100 point contract?

Not bad. Gets Riviera down to $190pp for 250pts, or $47,500. Buying in at 150 points, a little more realistic for ppl trying to get started, would be $30,800. $30K is about where I'd expect DVC to be. When I bought some direct back in 2016, I paid I think $180pp for BLT... so considering $180 then vs $190 now for current good offerings, hasn't really gone up that much.

If you said it was that or no sale I think they’d give in within seconds! Even for 150 points direct for a new buyer they’ve given a 20% discount. With over 30 years to go. They could be targeting those that balked at the MFs on the Cabins. |

You have to take into account the point inflation of Riviera vs BLT.
For a 2-Bedroom for one week, in July (13-20 Sat-Sat)
BLT Std view - 313 points BLT Lake View - 351 points
RR Std view - 368 points RR Pref view - 435 points

DS has been considering buying with a friend for a while. This gives them another option to resale. At $165 per point they could buy 150 and have access to the AP. Currently they visit each year, that would mean they could get two trips on one AP, get the discounts and into the Lounges. |
