I didn't plan our trips well, right as we got back, I had to do dining for 60 days. One of the ones is harder to get but the chef is amazing. However this time it was super easy to get everything. Changed minds and lots of options.
Is dining getting easier? Crowds lessening? Or usually hard to get spots (Artist Point, Space 220 etc) less desirable now? Curious what others are seeing. Did it for a group of 6.

I had a group of six this time as well, and sailed through every ADR we picked, all at (for us) prime dinner times of 5-6 pm. We didn't have anything super difficult, I don't think, but I thought the new process was much better (showing all the available times instead of just 3).

I am surprised that 2.5 days beyond I could still book a number of normally hard to get. Topolinos still has openings for breakfast for our trip if we wanted. Our hardest was Plaza on a Saturday but that was easy peasy. I'm shocked by what's still available. I wish I hadn't woken up ay 6 on a Saturday to do it all now lol

I get up at 5 central (weekdays) so I was up at the right time anyway, but I forgot to book until an hour later and still, no issues. A pleasant surprise!

I get up early for room booking, For ADRs, not so much. Good to know that it may not be necessary. Also, booking for a larger number and then adjusting seems to work.

I was very surprised how easy it was to get our reservations for our May trip. I was able to get Space 220 & Art Smith’s Homecoming for lunch.

Perhaps.....
We recently booked ADRs for our Memorial Day weekend trip for a party of 7. We did not get everything we wanted, but did get most of the dining set.
Robin had clients going the week prior to us, a party of 6, they got everything they wanted plus some.

Perhaps..... We recently booked ADRs for our Memorial Day weekend trip for a party of 7. We did not get everything we wanted, but did get most of the dining set. Robin had clients going the week prior to us, a party of 6, they got everything they wanted plus some. We arrive 2 days after Memorial Day intentionally to avoid holiday crowds. That and my kid has to play for graduation the day before Memorial day. I looked today... still very open. |

I had no problems getting anything I wanted for the week before Memorial Day for the three of us except Space 220 Lounge--nothing available at all for our whole trip. I started at 5am right when the window opened, and I found it easier to search for the restaurant first, then look for dates/times available for reservations rather than go through the dining reservation option which would list all the restaurants available for a date.

Glad you got what you were looking for! The Snow White meal at Artist Point has been pretty tight when I've looked over the last year. Skipper Canteen has been tough too for the good dinner times. I've noticed a lot of stuff opens up the day before too, presumably due to cancellations. We had a stay at CBR last summer and had so many options for Topolino's a day in advance.

That's one I'm watching. 8 days later and it is wide open for our trip still! Topolino breakfast is finally booked up. As is Space 220. Those were available mid week. We're not picky diners and don't care if we miss stuff. I had expected with DDP's return it would be harder. Apparently not. |

We just did our 60-day ressies for the end-of-May trip and were able to get what we wanted. There were only a few issues when we did a ressies for 2 versus 3: no times for 2 people, but there were for 3.

Probably based on crowd levels and they have been very hard to predict lately, some days with no apparent reason they're slammed and some holidays when think it will be bad it is light. Last Thursday we were over at the parks and MK was closed to park hopping. I know they were doing some filming so I don't know if that had an impact or not.

I just tried to get Topolinos for June 7 breakfast.... Nothing. I need 4 but I checked for 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. No breakfast.
