Wife got me this! She has sadly never seen the "real" Figment's Ride but I told her that reading this "Little Golden Book" was almost like going on the ride. I just bought this book too! We gave one to our grandson for his birthday and kept a copy for us. I love Figment!

My current school celebrated Valentines Day yesterday because today is Ash Wednesday. My library is next to PreK, and they had great party as far as I could hear; lots of candy too, LOL. They were wiped out today when they visited for story time. I even got two valentines, one with a cool lego giraffe, who is now named Little Buford and one with Lays potato chips. Much cooler valentines than when I was a kid.
My old school district no longer celebrates any holidays, has no parties including no decorations K-12, no kidding.

We opened a nice wine and I made my wife dinner but then again that's about norm in our house. I guess you would either say we don't celebrate or we celebrate everyday, I prefer to go the later...

stellabutterman - no celebrations at all at school? That strikes me as sad.
DH surprised me utterly. I got him a funny/mushy card that he enjoyed. He got me a little lap blanket with the couple from Up and some fun sayings about life. Cute! We got our daughter too much candy and some art supplies. Grandma enjoyed another special card and her fav candle.
I took the dogs for a run just before the sun went down. They had a blast until the whistle blew and it was time to practice heeling again. Fun!

California School District did not allow any paper or cardboard decorations on walls , in hallways , from ceilings . Fire safety regulation. This was probably in 1982 .
Many different cultures that do not celebrate and many families that can not afford Valentines for instance … allergies to red food dye , no sugar allowed in diet ,

I saw the Figment Golden Book at Target. They also have a Taylor Swift Golden Book on sale. I’d love to have that autographed. Actually I would want Figments autograph inside the book too! Great keepsake !

So wife was watching tv and there was an Arby's commercial on that made us laugh. I enjoy what Ving Rhames does on those. She asked me, "Didn't there used to be a glove-hand that was in the commercials?" I start telling her a story about when I got my first school bus, the driver before me had hung a keychain of the Arby's Glove on one of those little fans that are up in the dash area. The kids used to ask me what was with the Hamburger Helper guy; I said that's the not Hamburger Helper guy, that's the Arby's guy! They'd be like "Arby's guy? What?" Then some little little kid, I remember his little kindergarten voice, said in his best low-bass voice: "We have the meats!!" I couldn't stop laughing.

Great keepsake ! I love the idea of having Figment autograph the book - my DD would love that. Does anyone know if Figment signs autographs? Or something else that could go in a book (Buzz Lightyear had an ink stamp when my girls were small)?

He has a meet greet as you exit the Figment attraction just before the sign up desk for DVC Lounge …
I have a Disney Santa Claus autograph using a crayola on back of postcard from Disneyland .
Let us know if you are successful! Im never sure about the size of the ink pen that they need for autographs. …

Thank you, yes, I did hear that Figment began meet & greets last fall! I would be happy to do this if I knew he would be able to sign a book for her, but would bypass until she's along to meet him too if it's just hugs and photos.

Cheers.

The only real Figment was the one that use to be on the Dreamfinders arm! The meet and greet one is a bit too close to Barney for me....

As this is the place to talk NFL and Disney here is the real question: IF KC wins will Kelce AND Swift do the " I'm going to Disney World / Disneyland " promo? Was it included in the agreement when Disney+ got her concert film? Inquiring minds want to know, well actually not we are not huge Swift fans and only casual NFL fans so not high on our list. Ha, well not this year’s commercial… We attend Field to Feast event yesterday and as always it was a great fun. Field to Feast is a fairly quiet Disney charity event put on buy the magazine Edible Orlando and features Chef's from several of WDW food groups and wine paired by George Miliotes (wine bar George). There are also a few Cocktails (The Buffalo Trace orange and strawberry was my favorite) This year some of the booths were chef groups from Flying Fish, Narcoossee's, Tiffins, Cali Grill, Epcot World Catering, Be Our Guest, Disney Food and Beverage Catering and desserts including a Cars themed one from Art of Animation and the Famous Mickey Beignets from Port Orleans Resort. On the way out you even get a small box of chocolates from The Ganachery in Disney Springs. Field to First is hosted by Long and Scotts farm which is about 40min north of WDW. The event supports the Orlando Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida The Kids Cafe Program so it is not an event where you go looking for value (i.e. the tickets aren't cheap). The food is first class and while being small plates it is every bit the quality of what the restaurants serve. I must admit I had several of the scollops from Flying Fish and the Blacken Red Fish from Narcoossee's were my favorites. If you're a foodie and don't mind dropping a few bucks for a good cause I would suggest keeping your eyes out for next years event. Glad you enjoyed! Heard about this last year, wanted to look into it this year but forgot. Hopefully next year I’ll see you guys there. We were in the 60s. Now we're not. At least the snow disappeared from our forecast. And supposedly our band is not going to Disney next year. Woot! Too complicated Busy with costumes. That's my life now until next month. What’s this yeae’s musical? After years of intermittent hip pain and recently a small fracture, I'm having hip replacement surgery tomorrow. I hope to be walking well soon, especially since we have a WDW trip the end of May, and DS is getting married in July. Best wishes for a complete and speedy recovery! I feel for the friend born on Feb 14. A friend's son was born just before Christmas, which makes that a juggling act every year. DD skipped homeschool on Monday as her new bedroom furniture arrived. She and DH put it together, which perhaps was simply a different set of lessons. Today, she's focused and determined to do two days worth of work in one. The longer we homeschool, the more the flexibility works well for the whole family. Not a bad thing. Most definitely a worthwhile alternative!
