0 for 3, but NYE still available as well as days needed prior, so can still get it if I could get the first day that people are walking. Tomorrow…..

Crises adverted......got my standard view studio for the days I needed.
From my experience booking at Riviera for this week the last few years, walking is probably not necessary. although, I have less points than you do so I’ll probably keep walking just to avoid the problem. Perhaps, but I only have 475 points at Riviera. I did not walk my two reservations for that week, but I did get a little worried for the studio reservation.
I did some spot checking of room types at the other resorts, for that same week. The cheapest rooms at certain resorts were gone, which I sort of knew from past experience. Some things that surprised me was Copper Creek had no studios, but Boulder Ridge did. But then again, that can be attributed to older ownership vs newer ownership at the resort.

I needed 3 BWV reservation, walked over a month and half and able to get 1 std view 2-bedroom. I would not take chance for a grand villa.

If you have the points and the time, walk the reservation. What does it hurt and what do you have to lose? The answer is nothing, but possibly not getting your reservation if you did not walk it. How do you think everyone is booking those AKV Club Level rooms? Exactly what Tom said.
